For 2 adults, characters are not a necessity... which place would you go to for the breakfast buffet and why? Any idea what the Wave's buffet price would be appreciated too! Thanks!
If characters arent a necessity, then I would go with the wave. The breakfast food at CM's isnt very good in my opinion. The quality of food and selection were disappointing. I'd only recommend CM's if you want to see the Fab 5. Cause they are pretty wonderful there. Thats the only good part.
Is the breakfast food really that bad at Chef Mickey's? Thats disappointing... even though characters aren't a necessity... adding Mickey to the mix is always fun.
I don't think the food is that bad, it's breakfast buffet geared towards kids and families, so not fine dining. I've never had a bad meal there, but if I want better food I go to the Wave. Our big trip in October, we'll go to both the Wave and Chef Mickey's. Both offer something different.
DH really likes CM's. Liked it better than 1900 Park Fare even, which surprised me. Plus we do like the characters at CM's. That being said, the fare is a bit standard. We have not been to the Wave though.
DH and I are eating at the Wave in October, it is just under $20 and you can do the buffet or ala carte. CM is great if you have kids otherwise to noisy for me
I'm trying the Wave for breakfast later this year, I've enjoyed other meals there, and have heard good things about their breakfast. The food at Chef Mickey's I didn't really care for all that much except for a few items.
We have been to Chef Mickey's twice and now have crossed it off our list and not coming back. Both times we went for breakfast and had to wait past our ADR time much longer then we should have. The last time we were over an hour after the time we had our ADR for. On our last visit in February, we had horrid service, buffet food was not that tasty and only saw Mickey and Goofy. We stayed over an hour hoping to see all of the characters like our first visit but the others characters seemed to stay in their own areas too. We would have asked our server why did they do this but we only saw him three times and the middle time was a fly by practically. He had no time for questions. This was our last meal there and we were greatly disappointed. Even my children never wish to return.
I have read different blogs, and reviews of the Wave's breakfast and yet to read a bad one. I don't think it is overly popular, which hopefully makes it a better meal then the chaos we experienced.
The Wave isn't ringing a bell, I don't think I have heard of it in my planning and research. (maybe because all I was looking for was to see Mickey! ) Where is it located?

If food is the only consideration, then yes, the Wave is far better than CP. You don't have the theming, characters, etc (or the price tag associated with that). The food is good and they usually have press pot coffee if you so desire
