For dinner. Having trouble deciding. Does Wave have a fun atmosphere? Have two boys, ages 13 and 10. Already eating at O'hanas another night.

TIA!

The Wave had great food and great service when we went, but it is just plain old restaurant atmosphere. I haven't eaten at Kona for dinner (only breakfast), so I can't do a good comparison there.

Kona over The Wave for something 2 boys ages 10 & 13 would enjoy.

But instead of either one I'd recommend WCC (rowdy atmosphere and if one or both are bottomless pits, the endless BBQ skillet and endless milkshake to drink) or 1900PF (think of how much fun the StepSisters would have with them! And Prince Charming is usually pretty good with the boys too).

Kona for sure. I think they have the better menu options and better atmosphere. For the record, this is coming from someone who's posted numerous times that Kona's got all the ambiance of a mall food court. The Wave's dining room is that dull. It's a shame, really, because their lounge is fantastic.

Thanks for the recommendation. We did eat at WCC once and enjoyed it, but we will have free dining so my DH wants to take advantage of the more upscale restaurants (not that Kona is that upscale).

The food at Kona Cafe is fantastic for both breakfast and dinner! And the desserts there are to die for... best molten chocolate cake I have EVER had.

The ambiance is just fine... nothing too exciting, but it's nice that it's right in the middle of the lobby.

Enjoy your trip! :)

No atmosphere at all at the Wave. Regular hotel resto. We went for breakfast but i doupt that the dinner atmosphere is really different. I would go with Kona. :thumbsup2
