The Wave or Grand Floridian Cafe?

We will be at CR for Pirate and Pals and would like to have to have dinner at a monorail resort. We already have Ohana booked and will save Kona for another trip. I can't get Chef Mickey's so I am left with these two choices. Any reviews or pictures? Thanks

We ate at the Wave last September and really enjoyed it. DW is vegitarian and they were very accomodating. The chef came out and spoke with DW, and cooked her something that wasn't even on the menu.

We've had nice meals at both places. I think the atmosphere in the GFC is a little more interesting than at the Wave, but both are good. We had excellent service at both on our most recent visits, though the first time we went to the Wave (shortly after they opened) we were not happy with service.

I vote for The Wave. We had two wonderful dinners there last summer and just a so so meal at The Grand Floridian Cafe. We just booked the Pirate and Pals cruise as well. Would love to hear your review when you get back.

Another vote for The Wave! It was my favorite meal of the trip! The cinnamon rubbed pork was melt in your mouth delicious!

I ate at The Wave last May and loved it. I am a very health conscious eater at they had a lot of very good, healthy options. It is my second favorite restaurant on property so I would go with it.

If you are a wine drinker they have a great selection.

Thanks for the responses. We have to check in for pirate and pals at 8:30. Is 6:30ish a good time to make an ADR at the Wave?

Another stupid question: Would it be possible to get the burger at dinner time? My husband eats like my picky five year DD and I don't see much that will appeal to him on the menu besides the burger.
