The Wave entree ??

This is for anyone who has ordered the grilled beef tenderloin. Can you you tell me what side dish came with it and how you liked it? I have read you either get celery root mash or boniato mash. I am not familiar with either of these items and was curious what they tasted like. Thanks.

I just had it last week and it came with the boniato mash and I believe a roasted tomato. The mash was similar to potato in consistency but sweeter, It was very tasty!

DH had it lsat year in December, and it came with the celery root mash. He said it tasted like celery, but mellower and slightly creamy. The mash is under the meat, and the jus mixes in a bit.

Thanks for the replies. My husband is a meat and potatoes type of guy and I wasn't sure if he would like these side dishes. I really want to give The Wave a try so I think I will go for it. Thanks again!

We have reservations at The Wave the first night we arrive and after reviewing the menu items.....I just don't know if they will suit our family. No one is picky, but my hubby too is a "Meat and Potatoes" kinda guy......I just don't know what I should do??? I called and we can get into Crystal Palace earlier that evening. However we do already have ressies at CP the next morning, which I would just cancel if we decided to do CP instead of The Wave our first night........I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?!?!?!! Decisions, Decisions......

When I had it in March it came with the celery root mash and it looked and felt like mashed potatoes but tasted like mashed celery...now I love celery but I didnt like that at all...luckily DH (who only eats raw celery) inhaled it!

I subbed the fingerling potatoes. Very good

We just got back, and my DS 16 had the steak. It came with the boniato potatoes and a roasted tomato. The fingerling potatoes were yummy though, so you could prob substitute!

It is good to know that you can possibly sub the fingerling potatoes for the side dish that comes with the steak. I do think we would enjoy those more.
