Howdy!

I was looking at the menu online for one of my reservation and it seems that it's not all you care to eat anymore... Has anyone tried it since reopening? Is it worth it?

Thanks!

We went last week - pre-COVID they had a menu + a buffet option. My husband occasionally opted for the buffet but I have always just ordered off the menu. Now, it's simply just the menu so there was very little difference in options for me and my husband was fine without a buffet.

We always enjoy breakfast there, and think it's well priced (for Disney...) with great service and that had not changed IMO. I do find they always tend to run behind; we waited nearly 45 minutes for breakfast last weekend :( Previously, they would often run 15-20 minutes late. Just keep that in mind when making plans.

We were not crazy about The Wave the few times we have been over the years even though others really like it. I would do Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL instead.

Has the absurdity stopped with COVID? I'd hope that they wouldn't want people running all over the restaurant and sharing ketchup. I'd love to try that Whispering Canyon sometime because the food sounds great. But I do not want to eat in a three-ring rodeo which is what I've always envisioned that place to be with all the insanity.

I do not know what it is like there now with the antics. But, the 3 or 4 trips we had breakfast there the ADR was when they first opened and it was not too crowded so did not see too much of the craziness. I think one time a few tables asked for ketchup so we got to see what I had heard about. Most of the time the server has just made some jokes and if needed a refill brought many cups of the drink.

We ate at The Wave for the first time about 2 weeks ago. No more buffet. We enjoyed the breakfast. We didn't have to wait too long, and I'd grabbed a reservation on the ride to WDW.

When we ate a Whispering Canyon in July there were still a few "antics", but they were modified. When I asked for ketchup I got a special song instead of the multiple bottles. I still saw someone with the huge jar of drink and the servers were joking around and sprinkling lots of sugar packets while singing, stuff like that. Just no sharing of condiment items.
