We have a dinner reservation at The Wave around 7:25pm (fireworks are at 9:15). Where is the best place to view the fireworks after dinner from the Contemporary or anywhere nearby? I would prefer to hear the music piped in as well. Ideally I'd love to eat at CG, but there hasn't been any reservations open for weeks as I've been checking.
I've looked on the forums and found some answers, however I'm not sure if they're up-to-date.

Thanks everyone! :)

Note the area above is a smoking area and the end part furthest away is usually roped off for events. With that you can also sit or stand in front of Bay Lake Tower and see them, walk to front of MK, take the monorail to the Poly among other options. Poly will give you the best view. I also like sitting in front of BLT as it was pretty empty and the monorail track is not in the way.

You may also want to considering trying to get into the California Grill Lounge. You'd have to go early (no later than 5:30 or so) but it is first come first serve but even if you just have one drink your receipt will get you up to the fireworks later in the night.

You should also consider signing up for touring plans reservation finder to see if something opens up that way for California Grill. We recently had luck finding a reservation for next month.

I haven't stayed at any of the monorail resorts and haven't explored them much either. Do you have any suggestions for the view from the Poly? It would be much appreciated.

I'll check the reservation finder out, thank you! Is that a free service? I understand touring plans charges for their itineraries or something like that..?
I'll check out the lounge as well. That definitely may be an option. Any idea if CG observation deck area tends to get packed?

Go to the beach at the Poly. When I was making my room reservation for the Contemporary, the cast member told that I could see the Electrical Water Pageant outside my room but if I wanted to see the fireworks (and could not go to California Grill) I should head over to the beach at the Poly. Music is piped in to the beach also.

Oh wow, that's great. I'm definitely going to check that out. I've only been to the Poly once to have some Tonga toast. It sounds like a good time to take a walk around the resort as well. Thanks!
