A couple of additions to part 1 of my TR. On Tuesday we checked out AKL after leaving RC at AK. A beautiful resort but not my style. I personally really like water and of course, being a savannah, there is none. It is well themed and the pool is huge though. I would like to have a meal at one of the restaurants sometime but I don't see us ever staying there, though it is lovely. Also, that night we went to WWoS to watch the Orlando Rays play against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. The O'Rays lost but we had a great time at the game. Admission to O'Rays home games is included with PAP's. So it was a fun and different way to spend an evening at WDW. Ok back to Days 5 and so on...

DAY 5-Wednesday 5/29, Today we spent the day at Blizzard Beach. The park was rather crowded so we didn't do as many slides as we normally do but we spent hours in the lazy river. We arrived at opening time and did get to do Teamboat Springs without too long of a wait. Late afternoon we went back to POR to shower and get ready for dinner. We decided to try the Chilis that is over near Crossroads. It was not too crowded, was clean and the food was good too. Back at the hotel the kids wanted to swim so refilled out POR mugs for the umteenth time and sat by the pool at Ol' Man Island.

DAY 6-Thursday 5/30, Today we drove the car and parked at Wilderness Lodge so that we could ride the boat to MK. We got a late start and didn't get to MK until 11. We did get FPs for Splash Mountain and then waited in a 45 minute line at TM. By the time we finished at TM it was time for our FP at Splash Mountain so we went over and got right on. We then headed to POTC which was a walk on and also HM which only had a 15 minute standby wait. We decided to ride TTA for our last ride and then left the park. It was 2pm when we got on the boat back to WL. We wanted to have a late lunch at WC and it was 2:30 when we got there. We were seated right away and enjoyed a great lunch. We won't even mention how many ribs DH ate as we all got the all-you-can-eat plate. This is much more reasonable to do at lunch rather than at dinner, plus we got our 10% AP discount. This is always a must do when we come to WDW. We aren't big people or big eaters and I'm sure that Disney makes big money off us at the all-you-can-eat things but we do enjoy the variety at WC. We rolled ourselves out of there and headed back to POR. Our plan was to drive to Cape Canaveral to watch the shuttle launch but of course that was delayed by some evening thunder. So instead we hung out at the hotel pool and had a late night ice cream at the food court. Then off to bed!!

DAY 7-Friday 5/31, Today we had to technically check out and back in again since we were done with DVC portion of our stay and starting the cash portion. It was quite painless and we didn't have to move or anything. We then headed to the bus stop to go to Epcot for the day. We went immediately to get FPs for TT. We had a 3 hour wait time so we did lots of other attractions in FW. We went to Universe of Energy, Body Wars, Cranium Command, Making of Me, Journey into Your Imagination with Figment (soft opening today...no wait at all...much better attraction than before), HISTA, than TT. We grabbed a quick bite at Electric Umbrella and then tried to beat the rain as we ran toward International Gateway to go to see BCV. No luck. It started pouring so we stood under cover at one of the restrooms with about 20 other people and waited it out. When it lightened up as much as it appeared that it would we high tailed it to the BC. We looked around the store for awhile and then the rain stopped so we ventured outside to peek at the villas. They are beautiful. We wanted to see the models so we walked over to BW and one of the ladies at the sales office showed us the BC models. They are beautiful and I must say they were very smart to make the connecting door for the 2 bedroom in the entry area rather than in the middle of the living room. I also prefer the commode being in it's own private room rather than in with the sink and shower. The corian counters are beautiful also. We decided the quickest way to get from BW to POR was to take the path to MGM and catch a bus so that is what we did. Got back to the room and checked the news to find out the shuttle launch has been postponed until Monday now. Oh well. Decided to drive to the Dolphin and eat at the Dolphin Fountain. DVC members get 20% off. The kids had the kids meals which come with a drink and ice cream. DH and I shared the chili, cheese fries and the brownie sundae. It was definitely enough to eat and before tip and after discount came to just under $20. Pretty reasonable. Back to POR for a late night swim and off to bed.

DAY 8-Saturday, June 1, We found out last night via a note left in our room that AK and MGM would be opening an hour earlier today for WDW guests because of the large crowds associated with Gay Days at MK. We got up early enough to catch a bus and arrive at MGM just after opening at 8am. We headed straight to RR to get FP. I got 3 for myself and the girls (hubby gets motion sick) and decided to get 1 FP for ToT for me just in case I decide to go on it. I've been before and it was fun but I hate doing rides alone. No one else will go on that one with me...yet. While we waited for the FP time for RR we went to the Great Movie Ride. Back at RR, DD9 says she isn't going on it. So she waits with DH while DD11 and I go through the FP line. Just prior to boarding DD11 says she doesn't want to go on it. She's been on it before about a year and a half ago but freaks out when she sees the "limo launch". So she heads out the exit and I ride with a preteen boy who is by himself (DD11 wishes she would have gone when I tell her this later<g>). I have one FP left from DD9 so I get off and go out and get right back on again. I love this ride!! I decide to skip ToT and give my FP to a teenage boy that is in line to get a FP at ToT. Boy was he happy, it had 10 minutes left on it so he went right in. This is getting long so I'll just say that we did Millionaire, Drew Carey, had a hamburger at Backlot Express (which no longer has the great condiments bar with the all the goodies and the cheese sauce, I was very sad to see this). Then DD11 decided that she was going to go on RR so she and I went to do that while DH and DD9 did the backlot tour. I ended up going on RR 5 times that day. I told you I love that ride!! After that we headed back to POR to change for BB. We got to BB at 5:30 and stayed until it closed and 7. We went on everything that we wanted to with no wait. Most people were leaving for the day and we were the only ones coming in that late. Who would want to use a day on their hopper for only a couple of hours?? That's what I love about PAPs. We were then very hungry so we went back and had pizza and salad at the food court. And then of course the late night swim!!

DAY 9-Sunday, June 2, A whole day from opening until around 5pm at Typhoon Lagoon. Shared chicken wraps at Typhoon Tillies for lunch and enjoyed Cross Creek while the kids did slides with DH. Went back to the room to shower and headed to Chevys at Crossroads for dinner. This place has it down. Fast, efficient service, reasonable prices. We put our name in and was told it would be about a 20 minute wait. This was at 7pm. We were seated, ordered, ate, and were out of there by 7:50. Back to the hotel to swim for awhile before bed.

Okay, I think I'll end this part here and pick up with day 10 on a new thread. Thanks for reading!!
