Remember this truck when woodbury people attacked the prison, and then the governor when crazy shooting them, you can see the bullet holes.

Thanks for the pics. October is so far away!!!!

Awesome! My cousins live around the corner from the set and we're visiting them at the end of the month. A visit to the set is on the itinerary. One of them is a manager of a local restaurant and the cast comes in to eat often. He's buddied up with hershel.

That's so cool, I missed Hershel for a few minutes, he had just left to the set when we got there.

ok, now I am WAY behind so I didn't want to read too much, dh and I just watched episode 7-8 on Netflix - the one where the little boy gets shot, and the little girl is missing. But alll I keep thinking is WHY don't the go to an RV dealer and take a good RV, and why aren't they heading to supertarget/superwalmart? What about a boat - an island.... or getting somewhere defensable! Ah it's infuriating they just keep driving into Atlanta and out.

They left Atlanta because it was where most of the walkers were, Rick went back in season one because he didn't know, then they all left Atlanta and never went back.
I don't think they can just go shopping for a nice RV, in season 2 they were at Hershel's farm out in the country. To get to a boat they need to find the coast first and I think that would take way too long and too risky since they don't know what is ahead, they were going to Fort B at the beginning, to a Island? where? They're in Georgia, they have to get to the coast first.

It is so hard for them to even find baby food, not only because of the walker but other survivors too, they all fighting to survive, much less an RV, then they have to find fuel.

The stores are mostly empty, from people storing up in a panic when the epidemic started, through whatever was scavenged by survivors after the walkers took over. Presumably, the same thing happened with RV dealers. Those kinds of places are also in heavily populated areas, so it's likely that they're overrun by walkers and impossible to get to for whatever's left.

Atlanta is completely overrun. People were headed there because there was a refugee center, but the zombies took over and now its not safe to stay there. You'll see in another episode this season what else happened to Atlanta when it fell, along with what it looks like now. They can't stay there.

Boats and islands are tricky (just watch the end credits of the Dawn of the Dead remake - yikes!). There's no guarantee that boats are left at the docks, since people probably ran to them. Plus they're a big group of people and they'll need plenty of food and gas for probably more than one boat. And if they get to an island that's overrun (again, Dawn of the Dead end credit scene), they're screwed.

Where they go and what they're able to get are really dictated by where the walkers are, unfortunately.

Plus, by the time you get to the end of season 2 and into season 3, you'll see that zombies aren't the only problem...some of the people left behind aren't so nice either. :scared1:

Great! I am so excited! I just got hooked on this when we got Netflix this summer, and was worried how I was going to get to see Season 3 before Season 4 started! Guess I'll be glued to the TV all weekend! ;):thumbsup2

I'm excited too! I actually had all of the season 3 episodes saved on my Tivo except for one, so now I'll be able to get that one and keep them until the DVDs come out next month. Thank god I'm not obsessed or anything. :rotfl:

I finally started reading the comics as well, and I'm up to the second compendium. Yikes, they're even nastier than the show, aren't they?? :scared1:

TWD comic #18 is coming out.

They are way past #18. I have two compendiums that are through issue #96, and there are several more issues after that out. The have other "collections" that break them up differently, so it may be volume #18 of a different collection of TWD comics.

I just got back from visiting relatives near Atlanta and we did a self guided Walking Dead tour around Senoia (Woodbury). It was awesome! We saw the Governor's truck and some other vehicles, the bar Hershel went to go drink at, the convenience store Maggie and Glenn went to, the location of Rick and the Governor's meeting and then we found the studio. They wouldn't let us past the guard gate though.

I worked my way through all the comics recently from the library. I can't get enough! It begins to get hard to separate the show from the books from the comics though.
