Loved last nights episode. It was funny how stoic they all were when passing the hitchhiker. It just shows how immune they are to humanity, like you can't trust anyone. A year ago, they would have welcomed him to the group.

I have to say I did chuckle more than just a little bit when they were getting unstuck from the mud and the guy comes running around the corner screaming, "Hey! WAIT! HELP!" It was like they couldn't get rid of him. They all kind of rolled their eyes, climbed in the car and took off. cold!

Yet, they made sure to stop & pick up his pack on the way back.

Yeah, previews said someone was going to die. I hope Andrea. Please not Daryl, Glen, Carol, Michonne, Carl, or the baby.

I think Michonne is safe.

I heard somewhere that a few main characters are going to die by the end of the season. If so, who do you think would be next?

My guess is Hershel and Merle.

Andrea is the most logical. Also think Hershel is a good bet if/when they leave the prison. Being on one leg I could see him staying behind to occupy the walkers if it meant saving others in the group. That is sort his M.O. as a selfless father figure who has made his peace.

I still think Merle's demise will be intertwined with his brother somehow. I can see Merle being in position to be selfish and harm the group and the choice being Darryl's whether to protect his new family or join his last remaining old family member.

That's my list of "keepers" too! Obviously Rick won't die because it's his story. I think I would be ok with Hershel dying, and if Merle dies, I think it would do interesting things to Daryl's character. So I guess I'm just hoping that they don't get rid of any of the ones I really like!

I thought it was a good episode. I think it was the first time I actually liked Michonne. I liked seeing the softer side of her. The part with the hitchhiker really bothered me though. Especially when they backed up and grabbed the pack. I understand them being leery of anyone these days, but still... It was unsettling to me.

I enjoyed last night's episode, but it was just more filler for me, because I've been anxiously waiting for next weeks episode for a month. The actor who plays Rick said its his favorite episode ever.

But even though it was filler for me, I know in reality it was filling in the story, preparing for what is to come.

I keep thinking there is some significance to a baby being born during the apocalypse. Like if you are conceived by 2 parents who have the virus, you are immune. But the only way to show that is for Judith to get bitten or killed and not turn, and that would be awful. .

Thing is... NOBODY is immune. They will all turn when they die (unless, like Axel, they die by a shot to the head). Remember that Carl shot Lori in the head so that she wouldn't turn?

Last night was a great episode -- it went by way too quickly. I am guessing this is the last we see of Morgan. Terrible story of how his wife killed his son. I guess that would make you go insane.

I saw on the walls where he had written other names as "Turned". I wonder if he was part of a larger group at one time.

It's hard to believe there are only three episodes left this season.

I was thinking this too. Over the past year or so, he's "cleared" other humans only to watch them die and turn. There was something on the wall along the lines of "coated in blood, turned". I was really trying to make out a lot of what was written on the walls. This could be why he chose isolation and/or what drove him right over the edge - everyone he's ever befriended has turned. He's seen that too many times to want to get close to anyone ever again but isolating himself isn't doing him any good either.

Absolutely gut wrenching (seriously fantastic acting!) to find out how Duane died/turned. Wow - what guilt to carry. Knowing that had Morgan had the strength to finish off his wife, he may not have lost his son.

I really think that finding Morgan in the state he was in was Rick's wake-up call. He can let himself slip into Looneytunesville alongside Morgan or he can fight to regain his sanity. I do think (or hope) he'll be choosing sanity.

I think Michonne is safe.

Right, but Judith is the first child we know of conceived after the major outbreak to 2 infected parents. We don't know the ramifications of that yet.

It could be that nobody is immune. But I'm thinking long term of the series and comics. Either a cure has to be found, or everyone dies and humanity is wiped out. There has to be some ending.

Also... what did CLEAR mean? It was written all over the place, and it's the name of the episode. I know at the end Morgan was talking about having to clear, but my phone rang at that time and I missed what he was saying. Was he saying that it was his job to "clear" the world of the dead?

This was the part that was the least believable for me (and note I am saying this about a show based upon zombie's actually roaming the Earth). This hitch-hiker has survived likely for a year, perhaps part of it being on his own. He is panicked now and is killed by walkers? I would have thought living a year in this environment would have hardened him like the others. They don't seem to be as threatened by walkers anymore.

I think Judith, Herschel, Beth, Carol and Merle don't make it to the end of the season. I think Merle may redeem himself in Rick's group's eyes before he is killed, though.

Speaking of electricity, how are they going to keep that old, concrete prison warm in the winter???

They talked about "clear" on Talking Dead. Basically it means a lot of things. First it was literally clearing all the zombies. Morgan was trapping, killing and burning them like it was his life purpose. Also it could mean clear conscience, like clearing your soul.

I may be looking into it too much, but I think it has connotations to his "Weak shall inherit the earth" speech. It was almost like the world was his own hell he was trapped in (think like in Dante's Inferno) and for the decisions and failures he made he is now doomed to spend the rest of his days "clearing" those who had turned. Catch a zombie, kill a zombie, take zombie to burning pile, burn zombie, repeat day after day after day.

That's why he asked Rick to kill him, even though he was surrounded by guns that he could have killed himself. Since he was such a weak person and caused his own son to die he must be stuck in this constant cycle as punishment in his own isolation.

Have any of you read "World War Z"?

If you like Walking Dead I can not recommend this book enough. It really gives a broader spectrum on thoughts behind the Human Condition and how things would change in humanity as the result of a Zombie Apocalypse. Really gives some thought provoking fodder such as how when the earth starts to rebuild it will be the people we typically associate as having less than desirable trades as being the ones who have all the power. Instead of CEO's and executives ruling everything, it will be the farmers, construction workers, and day laborers who have mastered their skill that are needed to teach everyone to live and re-build.

It was a very entertaining read. They are making it into a movie but from the previews it looks like it will be a far cry from the book.

They can kill Andrea now, I certainly wouldn't care. I do think Merle will die, I would be surprised if it he didn't. I can see it go one of two ways, he does redeem himself, and it's tragic for Daryl. Or, Daryl is the one who kills him because he turns on them again.
I hope not Carol, Daryl needs her.
If they keep killing people though, they really need to find some new people to trust, because their group is dwindling to nothing! I am watching season two with DD and it's so weird to see so many people in the group while they are all at the farm.

This was one of my favorite episodes of this season so far. I'm glad to finally know what happened to Morgan and Duane, even though it is sad. I wish he had gone with Rick, but you can definitley see he's on the end of his line.

I was definitely glad for a change of pace...I wish they'd do a little more in their home-town...going back to visit. It was nice that Carl went to get that picture for Judith.

Question though...did anyone notice the map of the town, where it said Rick's neighborhood was "Burnt Out"...? My fiance took that to mean the houses were burned down...I figured it was another place he took walkers to burn...or something along those lines. Did anyone else catch that? I was kind of thinking Carl was going to head back to his old house to try to find something dear to him to give to Judith...maybe a childhood stuffed animal or blanket or something (granted, the picture is probably better idea...HA).

Remember season 1 when Rick went back to his home after escaping the hospital. Didn't he look for the photo albums, and then realized that Lori had taken them with her when she left? Am I remembering it correctly?

I wonder what happened to those pictures?
