The Walking Dead on AMC

I'm thinking Merle is going to switch sides- try to get in on the prison group but then ends up dead. (just my opinion and I was so wrong on last nights so probably way off on this too) I think Andrea is the one that's going to help Daryl and Merle get away. jmho. I think she is on to the Governor but is so scared and not sure what to do.

I would like to think that other than her hearing birds chirping in her empty head.

It was a good mid season kind of show- not a season ending one.

I don't see Glenn or Maggie EVER trusting Merle again, so I don't see him going back to the prison and being a very good spy. I think that Daryl is going to bring Merle back (because where else would they go?), and Merle's going to cause all sorts of conflict there. Because they need someone to stir the pot.

I loved Carol's "No it's not" to Axel's "Interesting . . ."

But my favorite scene was when Daryl found out that Merle was behind Glenn and Maggie's beatings. He broke my heart!

In the previews, it looks like Andrea's still standing by her man. After all she's seen, really? I hope she's doing that because she's trying to find a way to save Daryl.

Also I am going to try to NOT read the spoilers anymore... it kind of dulled the effect, knowing that the only person who was going to die was Oscar. Otherwise I would have been on the edge of my seat!

Andrea seemed to be a little too accepting of the Governor's "Wall o' Heads" and dead zombie daughter.

I've been visiting that spoiler site someone mentioned and I have to say they were dead on with their finale spoilers. It's also simply a great Walking Dead site. If anyone here wants to check it out without worrying about spoilers, the spoilers are in their own sub-forum. As long as you don't go into that forum you can enjoy the site without it spoiling the show.

I'm really liking Carl this season. A big improvement over the old irresponsible Carl. I think being the indirect cause of Dale's death may have had an effect on him.

Andrea better help Daryl or I'll feed her to walkers myself. Yeah, I don't see Merle playing house at the prison & I hope Daryl doesn't separate from the group & go off w/him. My guess is that Merle's time is almost up. I wonder if the Gov puts Daryl & Merle in zombie fight club & makes them battle their way out w/o weapons.

Yep, I agree. Love the eipisode, but thought the cliff hanger would be a little more tense.

since i read the spoilers, i try not to post anything on this thread that might give away important things coming up.
(i have read the requests and will honor them.)

so, i couldn't elaborate on my first post after seeing the show last night.


the reason i prefer reading the spoilers is it helps me to key in and watch, be aware of incidents that are happening on the show when watching.

before i started reading all the spoiler sites, i sometimes would watch and it would go over my head not realizing the scene was setting up the action that would come in a later episode.


the comics i have read.
i do have to say that i enjoy the tv show more than the comics.
there is a lot more in the comics when it comes to the Governor's character.
that makes me think we will see more of him in the tv show.

but, so much has changed around between the two of them making it difficult to predict what will happen next in the tv show.

Tyreese came into the action on the farm in the comic books.
on the tv show, he has just been introduced and become a part of it this season.

Dale was not the one to have died by the bitten zombie in last years show.
it was Daryl that was to have kicked the bucket then.
Herschal was to have died in last years episodes but didn't.
the tv writers kept him in, which i am glad about....

so, different interchanging of characters in the tv version.

during Talking Dead last night, they did show a clip that will be in the season beginnning feb 10th.

THAT really excited me!!

Last nights episode was interesting. I wish they had waited to introduce Tyreese and his group till after the break. I wanted more from the regulars. I do NOT like the guy and his son and I think they won't be around long, we'll see. Michonne is just an amazing actress! Wow! I was on the edge of my seat watching between my hands, covering one eye then both as she was with Penny.

The whole scene was just incredible. I didn't really expect her to put a sword through her head like that. I thought she would use her as leverage for a while. And the glass through the Governors eye! He looked like he may not make it for a bit. Too bad he did.

Still so ticked at Andrea. I dislike her more and more. The scene with she and Michonne was tense also. I have a feeling they will be in that situation again.

The scene with Carl was amazing when he heard the screams and went looking. He is so calm and collected and in charge! There was a walker in that scene when he was hurrying them into a cell that looked like Lori. I thought that was weird. That prisoner with Beth when Carol stepped in was great! Don't screw with Carol - love her!

Hated the Merle, Daryl scene. Poor Daryl. Merle just HAS to go.

Glenn making a weapon out of the walkers bones was genius! He is a survivor for sure.

I like that Talking Dead will be an hour long after the break. That will be better. The coming attractions looked good.

I'm looking forward to seeing the series from the beginning - I always catch something I missed.

Andrea will come to her senses and save Merle and Darryl. Although i think Darryl's days are numbered!! ( yup i bet they kill him!!)

Andrea will return to the prison as a less trusted member, and I also think Merle will end up being a mole, for the Governor!

This sets up the ultimate showdown between Merle n Darryl. If Darryl vouched for Merle and he betrays him!!!!!! What a great scene that would be!!!

Tyreese was in the comics, and without spoiling too much , he's another groups LEADER . We are currently in the RICKTATORSHIP season, so take it from there. But always remember the comic story line is vastly different,
1. Michonne saved Rick
2. Rick was captured by the governor with Michonne, Andrea never was in Woodbury.
3. Dale Survives the Farm
4. Carl kills Shane , as a human not zombie.
5. Glenn is never captured.
6. No such thing as Darryl and Merle.
7. Lori does not die in childbirth, but in a much more shocking and horrible way, it scarred me really....,

So what they do with Tyreese is anyones guess. In the comic he is a great foil for Rick , because he is often more sensible than Rick, well except for one notable part

I have spent the last 30 minutes reading everyone's thoughts.

I keep seeing people mention Daryl getting killed and I KEEP hoping it is not going to be true!! I love him and it would take away a huge personality from the show. Merle, on the other hand, I wish somebody would feed him to walkers!


Can I just say, Feb is SO SO SO long away!

Daryl is supposedly the most popular character on the show. I'd have trouble believing that they would kill him off but they like to shock people.

Andrea owes Daryl. I hope that she will end up just pretending to be on the Governor's side to help him.

thanks for the tyreese info. I think it's good they don't follow the comics, but it's interesting to see how much they stray from the comics.

I hope they don't kill Daryl, if they did I think they would have a mutiny on their hands! Now, I also have a soft spot for Merle. As vile as he is, I hope he sticks around too. I also hope they accept Michonne.

I am very interested in this Tyreese angle. I never saw that coming, another group of survivors finding the prison. Is the woman with him his wife? The group was 4 people right? Tyreese, his wife (i think), the woman who was bitten by the walker, and the young man who was holding her?
