The Walking Dead on AMC

What i have said since the beginning is unless we see the characters die, they aren't dead.

We didn't actually see Lori die, I don't believe that she's dead yet
We didn't see carol die, I can almost guarantee she's not dead

Every character, up to this point that has died, we have actually seen it happen. Shane, Dale, T-Dawg, Sophia

It ain't over til it's over.

Talking Dead has an "In Memorium" section. Lori and T-Dog were shown. They're both dead. Nothing about Carol yet. She might wind up a walker. I hope not - she might be helpful when Daryl and Merle eventually find each other and figure out how they go on from there.

They strongly imply that Carl shot his mother to keep her from becoming a walker. I didn't watch Talking Dead - was Lori not in the Memorial section? If she isn't dead I'm not sure how she can make it after being cut open and left there.

Also one of them picked up Carol's headscarf laying by T-Dog I think they assume she is dead but probably is not.

Yea but you have to understand that the writers of The Walking Dead are so tight lipped that nobody knows what the next episode will bring. Plus, The Talking Dead is not directly connected to the show, other than they are on the same network.

I'm just saying, I would not be surprised if Carl, didn't shoot her (it's his mom) and carol is somehow there with her. I've seen bigger twists before.

Nah, they had one of the producers/writers/something from TWD on the show. She was quite tight-lipped about what happened with Carol. Just smiled and basically said "maybe, maybe not" when the host was saying that Carol probably died. I have yet to see someone from the In Memorium section wind up to NOT be dead.

Even if Carl wouldn't have shot her, I just can't imagine that there'd be ANY chance for her to survive. She'd have bled out by the time Carl, Glen's GF (brain cramp - can't remember her name dang it!), and the baby got outside and met up with the rest of the group - with or without Carol there.

We'll just have to see :)

Pretty interesting recap here - when questioning Lori's death - excerpt from link below:

“You’re the best thing I ever did,” she told Carl in her tearful goodbye – what surely must be the first combined death scene/birth scene/getting-killed-by-your-own-son-to-keep-you-from-turning-into-a-zombie scene in TV history. (The shooting happens off-screen, which seems to leave open the possibility that Lori is still around, but executive producer Robert Kirkman confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that “no, that poor child did shoot his mother, and yeah, we’re going to be dealing with that.”)

Who cut the chain? Was it the little convict that showed up in the generator room?

I've read over half of the comic book series - I was surprised they killed Lori off on the show early in the prison sequence - in the comic she doesn't die until much later during the prison location. I will say that it keeps me guessing when comparing the series to the books/comics.

I think someone earlier on in the thread was asking - while the major characters' life spans tend to be different between the show and books/comics the main location settings are the same - Camp outside of Atlanta, Herschel's Farm, Prison & Woodbury (with the exception of the CDC - that wasn't in the comics).

I would just like to point out that EVERYONE laughed at me and told me I was crazy when I said that Andrew was still alive and was the one watching Carol! Pbbt.

Also here are things I have learned from watching this show.

1) If they don't show someone dying, don't think they're dead. Therefore, Carol = not dead.
2) If they make you feel sympathetic toward someone you once hated, expect that person will die.
3) If a person has a more dialogue in the show than they ever had before, especially if they play the martyr and go against popular opinion to "do what's right", they will probably die.
4) If two characters exchange "meaningful looks" one of them will probably die.
5) If the group experiences a lighthearted, happy moment, chaos will soon follow.

This is what I am hoping for:thumbsup2

I hope Lori is dead. I didn't like her. :lol

So sad about T-Dog though. And I hope that Carol is alive. It was touching to see the actor who plays T-Dog get all choked up over the fan support though.

Except somehow Carl, a child, survived a shotgun bullet to the chest and the old man survived a traumatic amputation of his leg after being bit by a walker :lmao: I didn't even see anyone put a tourniquet on his leg!!

Just wanted to requote for those that missed this.

Rick wrapped his belt around Herschel's leg right before he hacked it off. :scared:

Lori and Tdog were in the memorial section of Talking dead last night.

That was SUCH a sad episode. Definitely wasn't expecting it!

T-Dog's death was so sad. He died a hero. I'm sure that Carol is still alive.

I never even really liked Lori but her death was heart-wrenching. I commend her for what she did for her child, though I hate it that the child was born into such a horrible world.

I think that we're about to see a whole new level of Rick. I'm interested to find out what happens with him and if he loses it completely. I'm also interested to see whether he accepts or rejects the baby. :confused3 He doesn't even know if it's his or Shane's and from what we saw last night he hardly looked at the baby.

I am guessing he rejects the baby and Maggie ends up being the primary care giver.
