The walking dead amc #2

Hmmm, no opinions on tonight's show?!

I can totally see Carl falling in line with Negan, he has always wanted his dad to do more and Negan will do whatever it takes.

Just gave me chills when Negan was cuddling Judith. Who the heck was looking after her with Rick, Michonne, Carl and Carol all being away from Alexandria at the same time?!

I really, really do not like or trust Spencer at all

Olivia was, but Negan sent her off for lemonade.

Someone needs to kill Negan!

It was another decent episode. I think Negan wants Carl as his own and it will definitely be his undoing. Negan is definitely more sadistic than I thought he'd be.

I love the Jesus character. He is definitely becoming my new favorite.

OMG I love Jesus too! Quickly becoming my new fav too.

I couldn't figure out if Negan was toying with Carl or if he truly respects and likes him. I felt like we were seeing a decent Negan when they were talking in that room before the guy brought him Lucille and he said, "Jeeze, sometimes I forget that you are just a kid." It seemed like it wasn't the sadistic Negan, it was almost a human Negan!

I am so late on this thread! Can I join in? I LOVE Walking Dead.

I think Negan is trying his best to bring Rick to the lowest of the low, and that means making himself seem like more of a father figure to Judith and Carl. I definitely think Carl will fall in line, but only as part of a bigger plan and I think HE will ultimately be the undoing of Negan. Negan is someone you have to get close to in order to get close to.

I would like to see Rick disappear for a while -- get his crap together and come back strong and with a plan. I don't know what happens to his character in the comic books and how long Negan gets to torture him mentally, but I'm already sick of Rick's shivering body and quivering lip and watery eyes! [I am saying this not having watched last night's episode yet, so maybe he surprises me ?!?]

There are more Saviors in Alexandria right now right? Because when Negan left his compound it was him, Carl and the driver in one truck and I'm thinking "no way Negan travels anywhere without an army of guys". Because all it would take it one group out scavenging seeing him with only a few guys and takes him out and all this is over right? But when Spencer came back and they opened the gate I thought I saw a few of his trucks. So maybe more Saviors came with him?

Olivia, or whatever her name is, was watching. When Negan told her to go make some lemonade and she started to say 'I'm not supposed to leave...' she meant se couldn't leave Judith but she didn't want to make I'm aware of Judith.

Tired of Negan. Wish he'd knock off the movements when he's dialoguing. I don't know how to describe his movements but my DD said it's like he's rapping...it's a bopping with his body along with his dialogue...uggghhhh.

Ha - me and DW were trying to pinpoint it as well last night. The best I could come up with is that he is like a combination of David Caruso in CSI and Gerard Butler in 300 (without the screaming....i.e This is Sparta [Butler] and There Are Rules [Butler / Caruso combo]). It's an odd speech dialect for sure. Sometimes it hits home in the delivery, other times it misses.

Not sure either if Negan actually likes Carl or not. Sometimes I think he does, for the mere fact he didn't kill or maim him. It could be he's trying to get to Rick through Carl or maybe Carl reminds Negan of what he was like when he was younger. As we know he killed all males above 10 from the Oceanside group and Carl has stood up against Negan twice now and is still alive. So maybe he actually has a soft spot for Carl for whatever reason.

Just curious -- how long is Carl going to wear that damned bandage over his eye?!?

Good point. But that wound still looked like it had the possibility to be infected without bandages last night. Maybe the show is avoiding giving him an eye patch so he doesn't look too "Governor-esque". But what can they have him wear outside of the bandages and a eyepatch? Glass eye would clearly not work in that wound.

Speaking of Carl, anyone hear the rumor about Chandler Riggs?

I am not looking forward to next Sunday. Rick is all red eyed again - so you know what that means...someone gonna die. I hope that Negan leaves Judith alone. Last night wasn't my favorite. If Darryl is gonna run - who gave him the note, Jesus or the burn faced dude (can't think of his name)?

The tweet about him getting into college? I don't think it means much of anything. I don't think he is leaving the show, I think there is a huge arc for his character and Negan. The college he was accepted to is not far from where they film, and they do not all film together all the time, we go weeks without seeing certain characters so he could technically do both. I think it's much ado about nothing.

On the other hand, who knows? Maybe Chandler will leave and Carl will be killed off in the finale? It could also be something set up by the show, like a media stunt for attention, to get people talking. I would think they are under scrutiny about what they can and can't tweet about the show and the future of the characters.

I can't even imagine this actor wanting to leave the show just when his character is getting weight in the story! I think Carl's story could run another season or two depending on how they write it. I'd rather see Carl ride off into the sunset to find another life than to be killed off.

I heard about the tweet Chandler Riggs' dad made about the show being a good run for him, or something along those lines. It insinuated that he wouldn't be back. I hadn't heard that it was because he was going to college, but assumed maybe the show decided to kill him off since he's quickly aging out of his character. The show's timeline is much slower than real life and I don't know much longer Riggs can portray a pre-teen.

They can always recast him if they feel he's aging too fast for the show. They take such a long break I forget what half the characters look like, I might not notice a new Carl lol. Carl seems to be a big part of the show now, would be weird to kill him off, but then again sometimes right before a character gets killed off they seem to have a bigger part in the show, hmmmmm.

Pure speculation on my part but I'm wondering if it's possible Negan had a son Carl who would be about Carl's age, maybe that's why he's drawn to Carl so much. Just a thought, would be nice to have some background on Negan.

I don't see Carl being killed off. And I don't see Chandler Riggs going anywhere for a while. JMO.

Well if past mid-season finale's have taught us anything, we can expect a huge conflict followed up by a cliff hanger of some sort (and the cliff hanger will drive all of us nuts!).

I will say this...I believe someone will die next week. I won't say anymore except tat based on reading the comics I think we will have another death.
