I'm not sure what words I can and can't use on these boards, so I'll say I'm getting tired of all the dirty suggestions and all from Negan and his gang. If this season goes into that kind of stuff I won't watch. Blood, guts, gore I can handle. Rape and the like, heck no!

I agree. Our ds has watched it with us, prior seasons we'd screen and let him watch after, but we'd skip weeks with violence against kids (Carl's near suggested rape, Lizzies flower watching...), but he's handled it well, so we've let him watch with us, the last seasons.
He handled season opener better than me. But the last 2 weeks he's been doing other things and hasn't watched. Not so sure we're letting him catch up, I can talk through violence with him but I am not ready to talk through the things suggested...

Yeah, I didn't like the part where that jerk savior was being "suggestive" to Enid. Caressing her face and making her say "thank you." Turned my stomach.

Honestly, I've DVR'd the last two episodes and just have not been in the mood to watch them. This season has already been torturous and I don't see it getting better. Used to be I could not wait to see what happened and who saved who, but this season seems so hopeless and having Abraham and Glenn gone and Daryll captive......ugh! I'll catch up eventually, but I'm in no hurry to.

As to a PP mention of SOA, boy did they jump the shark with that lousy ending. I would have owned the series if it hadn't been for that last season. A real slap in the face to the fans and the character.

Back to hating Dwight.

When he stole the guns I was saying, "yep, nothing redeemable about him." But after Negan ended up taking every gun, I realized that Dwight knew that it was going to happen anyway. So there may be hope for him, but I still want to see him go down.

I just hated the way he was taunting Rosita, taking her hat, ransacking the car, making her feel submissive, dumping out her water etc. I understand he may just be "playing the game" so Negan thinks he is with the Saviors, but man, I wanted Rosita to whip out a gun and nail him between the eyes. After I felt bad for him last week!

Dwight was definitely a jerk last night, but I still think he will team up with Daryl. I understand why Rick didn't hit Negan with Lucille when he had the chance because he was surrounded. I just don't get why they didn't wait with the rocket launcher for when they came. They could have killed the whole group including Negan, got rid of the bodies and claimed ignorance when the other Saviors came looking for them. Then they could tell the Saviors their deal was with Negan not them, so get lost. I know, probably easier than done lol.

But you have to wonder how many are truly with Negan and would stand up and fight with/for him and how many are just playing his game but would jump at the chance to take him down iif a worthy opponent came along.

Hate this whole storyline. Hated it in the comics, hate it now. I wish they would speed it up and get to the next storyline. But they are catching up to the comics so I bet that is why they are dragging it out. Don't want a GoT situation.

JDM definitely has more of a sleezy sales person vibe than comic book Neegan. Much more respect for women in the comic.

Negan is actually very anti-rape...in the comics anyway. It doesn't go that way, the way you are thinking, with his group in the comics. But...another group...

Comic Negan also seems more...I don't know...he does things for a reason and actually respects Rick. Show Negan is just about domination and cruelty. His vulgar constant dialogue in the comics is more to be funny but the show is coming off as evil. And some of the dialogue is exactly the same as written...JDM is kind of failing as Negan. Sorry for you JDM fangirls/boys.

Dwight is very different in the comics too and I am wondering if Daryl will take on comic Dwight's story. And then maybe Dwight will die...yay!

In the comic a certain someone was killed during last night's episode...when Negan came to Alexandria. I wonder if that will still happen, just at another time. Also, for those saying that Rick should have set up an attack. Remember that Negan came early...he does that so the communities he is ransacking can't set up an attack. He comes early or late...never when he says. Though I guess not for the Kingdom...why he doesn't go there but meets them off site...I don't know but it's a good thing for Ezekiel.

I just read something on a walking dead forum, it's not really a spoiler, just an observation from some very observant viewers. But here goes:

At the beginning, when Michonne leaves her and Ricks bed, she walks into the living room to retrieve the rifle in the fireplace. On the wall behind her is a huge poster saying "American Morse Code" it has all the dashes and dots for each letter. Some say that Daryl and Rick were communicating via morse code with eye blinks. I went back and re-watched the scene where Negan arrives and the camera does a close up of Daryl and he is in fact blinking at rick. I don't know if it means anything or if it was just some over zealous fans making something out of nothing, but interesting either way.

Yes!! It's not even fun any more to watch, &, instead of being excited to watch a new episode, I actually dread it a bit. There's only so much I can watch of doom & gloom & hopelessness & everyone being beat down.

I said to DH last night that I hope the showrunners remember that the TV audience is different from the graphic novel audience - people are going to want Rick & Daryl to rise up against Negan pretty quickly for revenge.

Even if Negan was early & they weren't ready for him, he was standing on the other side of the fence. At that point, Alexandria still had all their guns. I don't know why Rick just didn't shoot Negan point blank.

Due to the makeup of the Saviors, once Negan is gone, I would think they would all fall apart a bit & not really fight back all that well or coordinated.

In TV land, Rick, of course, couldn't do anything like that because Negan is a big character & Jeffrey Dean Morgan couldn't be gone in 3 episodes. However, in real life, I think you'd shoot him right there while he was standing on the other side of the fence while you still had the walls & all your guns for protection.

I didn't like last nights episode at all. I don't think it deserved 90 minutes either. I liked the Negan dynamic at first but not last night. I wanted to throat punch him lol! I hope Rick is biding his time and that Darryl will come back stronger. I don't read the comics so I really have no idea but I want them to all rise up against Negan and take him down!

I didn't get Rick admitting he's know Judith isn't his. There's no way to know, it seems she could be his, unless Lori lied about the timeline of her missed period and told Rick off camera and this is why we are hearing this now. Weird since there is no way to know for sure.

That was a test Negan was giving Dwight. He, in the comics anyway, doesn't stand for forcing women. Show writers suck. They just don't convey what they need to. Have to get lowdown from Hardwick on Talking Dead...uggghhh. That's what I hated about Fear TWD...that show was worse at conveying their intentions.

And the Judith thing...Lori and Rick had that scene, on the show, where she was telling him she needed to be honest about her pregnancy and Rick stopped her and said he didn't want to know. So one could assume that she was going to tell him that the timing made it probable the baby was Shane's.
