The walking dead amc #2

Boo, was disappointed it played out that way. I liked her character and it was too predictable:sad2: I like Carol and her character but in a way that would have seemed better.

I was ok with Beth. If it had to be someone rather it be her, but poor Maggie that was terrible.

Is it bad that I almost started to feel something besides hate for Dawn?

I knew Beth was the one to die before tonight because I follow her on Instagram and she had been posting pics of herself at several events and fans were commenting on why she wasn't in Georgia filming and how she hadn't been seen around where they film for a long time.

Too bad TWD facebook page ruined it for those on the west coast when they posted the "RIP Beth" photo before the show even ran out there....bet someone got in trouble for that mistake!

I saw that post come up right as the show ended. Yeah, someone is in hot water this morning. :(

I saw that too, I couldn't believe they did that!!

Dawn got off too easy. That woman was beyond horrid, she knowingly chose evil and betrayal when she allowed the "wards" to be used by the cops. I was sorry to see it was Beth. DD12 pointed out that every person who becomes the conscience of the group and shows that there is still goodness in the world dies...Dale, Laurie, Herschel, Beth. She figures Tyreese will be next.

Okay, so personally I didn't get the whole hospital and Dawn bit. I just don't understand what they were about. Dawn was mean...there were a lot of people trying to help themselves...but why was Dawn so evil? What did Beth finally figure out about her? The Governor and Woodbury...Gareth and Terminus....those I totally get and see what they were about and how evil they were (but also how they got that way). But Dawn and the hospital just was a dud for me.

I usually watch live, but had company. I checked my Facebook and saw many RIP Beth posts. Oh well, no biggie for me because I really think the season has been a dud so far. It was obvious they were now drawing their attention towards Beth in order to make her departure more emotional. I think they failed. The hospital just didn't make sense. I think it is silly to expect people to stay in uniform a year or so after a zombie apocalypse. Sorry, the minister and his actions made no sense. They break down the door? I know it was meant to be symbolic...minister shut people out, but the group lets him in, but they didn't even try to shut the door behind him. Sometimes the writers try too hard to be deep.

It is becoming a soap opera with a sprinkling of zombies and bad CGI. Why would Rick disembowel that Zombie in the first place? That would hardly slow it down.

My DH and I had this same discussion last night. The episode made no sense. (although I haven't watched TD yet so they may clear some of this up). Why would Beth go back and try to stab Dawn with those little scissors right in her vest (where it wouldn't have made a dent anyway)? Was she trying to kill herself? They were on their way out the door so why make that stupid stand that was guaranteed to end badly for her?

That scene would have played better for me if Dawn would have shot Beth in the back of the head as she was walking over to Rick and co. (as payback because she didn't believe the other guy was killed by walkers). That would have showed her evil side and made more sense.

And why did Michonne and Carl open both doors to the church and then just stand back and let the walkers in? They would have know well enough to just open the one door (while the other holds the second door) and then close it quickly once Gabriel was inside. They all just stepped back and let the doors go wide open :confused3

I agree, but I wouldn't include Laurie in this list.........

:rolleyes1

yeah, I was a bit puzzled too. Like why did Gabriel go to the school? That was so incredibly dumb, Made no sense to me. Then the door thing with Michonne and Carl?

I also thought the part with Beth and the scissors was stupid. Those were tiny scissors. I think when she said she finally gets it, she was talking about how Dawn ran the hospital. Everything came at a price, it was every person for themselves. You want a meal? you owe something. They would keep track and trade and use each other to get what they wanted and there was a hierarchy. Not like the prison where Ricks group all worked together for the good of everyone. Everyone pitched in, everyone was equal.

I also think it would have been better if Dawn shot Beth in a different way, because they were making you kind of warm up to Dawn. They showed her nicer side and she had a soft spot for Beth and protected her. I think it would have been more shocking to have Dawn take Beth's life for the officer Rick killed. Like a pp said, maybe she smelled bs when they said he died by walkers. That would have truly showed Dawn's evil madness.

The whole episode was not my favorite. The whole character death thing had been spoiled since the beginning of the season so I expected it, and the way it happened... duh. Frustrating. She was so close to getting out and then she had to go and use her little scissors on Dawn, like that would do anything. I just rolled my eyes at how stupid she was.

So it was like 55 minutes of stupid filler (I could care less about Gabriel, and ok, Michonne says they're not running, so then what were they doing? Standing out there expecting the fire truck to show up?) and then the whole action scene was a bunch of bad choices. Add to that Daryl's ugly cry AGAIN, I was like, he IS supposed to be the big badass on the show, right? Because he's starting to remind me of a little girl. Like the producers know, every time they want to move the audience, show Daryl's sensitive side.

Even seeing Morgan made me snore. Ok, I get it, he's following them. Time to catch up.

My husband kept wanting to change the channel when the stuff about Morgan came on. He said it was boring. We may have to get a divorce.

I may have to watch it again...I completely missed Morgan. When did they show him?

Also, I had read a spoiler somewhere that said there would be a walker on the finale that left a brief but shocking impression on the group. I didn't see that either.

Morgan was after the credits again, but it was much longer this time, a couple minutes long.

I don't recall seeing any special walker.

So it's coming back in February...that means TWD and the new show Better Call Saul will be on the same night?? I assumed TWD would come back in January and be done by Feb. 8. Man, I hope my DVR will be able to work it all...those two plus Once Upon a Time and Downton Abbey...why does Sunday have to be such a busy tv night?! :headache:
