The walking dead amc #2

I think you are taking my comment at little too seriously.

But if you want to run with your statement that when watching a show such as this we all engage in a major suspension of disbelief, anything is possible.

I understand that you were making a joke. I was trying to get across my annoyance with the way this was handled.

IMO, all reason and logic should not be abandoned just because we are watching a show that is based on an impossible event. Now I feel you can't trust anything that happens from here on out.

It's TV SHOW. You shouldn't be able to trust it...it's make believe and they can make up anything they want as they go along.

Wanna talk about not being able to trust anything that happens? Watch Game of Thrones....heck, ANYTHING can happen on that show. Dead, not dead, evs.

It's just TV. Just enjoy the freakin' ride!

(and I'm happy Glenn isn't dead)

I watch GOT. It is a completely different scenario-total fantasy, magic, dragons, giants, monsters, etc.

TWD is supposed to be realistic, at least that is what the showrunners, creators and writers have been proclaiming since day one.

I get that these are TV shows, not breaking news.

Thanks.

Looking through this thread, it is okay to wonder about the realism of the hair styles of some of the characters but not a major plot point?

There's always discussion on hair. Personally, while I have been firmly in the "Daryl dies and we riot" camp, if the man doesn't shower and get a haircut, I will personally push him off the wall into the herd!

Glen is just unbelievably lucky. He ought to be a little less grumpy once in a while.

So who said help?

Gimple said on Talking Dead they were purposely deceptive because they wanted the audience to feel the uncertainty of the world. And it got everyone talking.

I still think Glenn has gotten out of more "unrealistic" situations than this one. And Spencer just did too. Happens a lot.

Me too!!!!! My favs on the show, in no particular order are Rick, Daryl, Carol, Glenn, Maggie, Michonne. If/when one of these people get killed off, I will need to use my 3 days off work for a funeral, as I am entitled to in my employee handbook. Might have a bit of a problem finding the obit to prove someone has died ;)

There have been so many impossible scenarios from the very first episode, that this one seems mild by comparison.

Rick. In a coma. The day Shane leaves him and pushes the stretcher against the door, the flowers on his table are live. Soldiers are killing everyone in the hospital. The stretcher stays in that position until he comes out. So, it's safe to assume no one every came in to give him fluids or clean him up, etc. When he wakes up, the flowers are DEAD, not a little, a lot. So lets say a week minimum?? And he went without any care or hydration in that time. And he wakes up clean, dry, and able to stand a walk, doesn't go immediately for water, the list goes on with that one. Highly unlikely.

Remember when Darryl and Beth were on the run, and they went into the house with the mortuary in the basement? Darryl never should have made it out of that basement. Not a chance. No way. BUT, I'm SOOOO glad he did.

Herschel should never have survived that bite at the prison. It was at least a minute or two before they cut off his leg. At a normal/slow heart rate, your blood has pumped about 100X by then, much too late to intervene and stop the spread by cutting off a limb.

Glenn at the prison, requiring an ambu bag to breathe, yet within minutes of receiving an antibiotic, he's back in the fight for his life against walkers. Pretty sure it doesn't work like that in the real world.

I'm sure there are many, many more I can't think of. But, I'm still good with it. It's a show. It's exciting. I love the characters. I'll be totally bummed if/when one of my faves does die. And, I CAN'T wait for next week. Whoop, Whoop.

The hair thing doesn't cause anyone to question the integrity of the show. Or feel slapped in the face or exploited. :rolleyes2

I will attend your funeral. But I'd replace Maggie with Eugene. I like her a lot, but I could live without her.

That's the time i I was thinking of. And all the time what's his face had to cut off his head at terminus.

Maybe for me it was the whole faux drama that he might be dead. In those other scenarios they played out in a few minutes /episode vs being dragged out. Some may be like phew he's alive after all that, but because of the way they did I was like eh who cares. I will be looking forward/hoping even more for the comic book playing out on the show in the future. And maybe that's all this was, a red herring to surprise those who follow both storylines. Again, liked the episode just not a fan of the Glenn storyline including him with enid.

This made me LOL!!! :rotfl2: Its from Funny or Die........12 most ridiculous things from last night's walking dead.

6) Ricks Hammer Time
“GANG! LISTEN UP! RICKY GRIMES IN THE BUILDING! SAFETY MEETING. *WHISTLE NOISE* WE NEED TO KEEP REAL QUIET! *CLAP CLAP* OTHERWISE, IT MIGHT ATTRACT MORE WALKERS! BUT JUST IN CASE MORE WALKERS SHOW UP, I’M GOING TO REINFORCE THE WALLS BY HAMMERING WOOD ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY. *AIR HORN* MEETING ADJOURNED!”

That’s not a good plan. Also, does hammering wood against a wall make it stronger? I don’t know. Maybe? I never attended wood college, but probably not. At least Rick made a friend.

Hahaha.. I love Funny or Die!

#4 Morgan's Quarterly Review.. too funny!

Did anyone happen to catch the "special message from Steven Yeun" that they snuck into the middle of Into the Badlands (HATE when they do that, it feels so deceptive. Makes me not want to check out their new series' just out of spite). I don't watch TWD live so I didn't see it.

We took the bait. He basically said he had been reading all of 'the comments' and thanked everyone for their support (he may have even said 'of me and of Glenn'). He then said he was glad to be back.

I don't think Glenn's survival is any more far-fetched than half the other things that happen on the show!

I'm glad he's not dead, a real kicker would be if he makes it back and Maggie is the one to go in the walker invasion.

Next week looks like it's gonna be another fast-paced bunch of craziness, which in a way will be nice after the slower episodes we've had. I like them, but picking up the pace isn't all bad either.

I don't think Glenn even has a walkie-talkie anymore, or he'd have radioed in to Alexandria. Not sure I saw one on Rick either. I'll have to go back and see who had one.

So who said help?

Great question. I'm now leaning towards the people who stole Darryl's bike and gear, since the walkie would have been taken with that stuff too right? Chances are high we will see those people again, so the "help" leaves a window open for them to make another appearance. Plus Darryl needs to get his motorcycle and cross bow back at some point!

My vote for the voice on the walkie talkie is Eugene.

24 hours have passed since the Mega-Herd broke out of the quarry. Timing wise the "help" on the radio during Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham's ride in Patty back to Alexandria seems about in line from when the tower fell and the Walkers are now inside ASZ. Plus Eugene was very hesitant during Rosita's "Machete 101" class. I could see Eugene hidden away somewhere while the fit is hitting the shan and trying to get help on the walkie.

My thoughts on Sunday's episode: YAAAAAAAAASSSSSS for Glenn being alive!!!

Don't care how unrealistic or cheap or Jedi-mind trickery it was, I was NOT ready to say goodbye to one of the Atlanta 5. I'm so happy he's back!

I'm excited and nervous for the mid-season finale. I'll have a paper bag to breathe into in one hand, a glass of wine in the other hand, and a box of Kleenex in my lap!!!
