The Waiting Game

I think I am the winner of this waiting game... I applied the very first day apps came out (Sep 5) and had my phone interview on Sep 7. I've been waiting ever since!!! I was pended on Sep 27. The wait is absolutely killing me!!!!

Oh my goodness, I can't even imagine waiting that long! That's.... Horrible! I hope we all find out soon! Apparently my unshakable feeling was wrong, I didn't find out yesterday. Sadfais. Here's to hoping!

I've only been waiting eleven days and its KILLING ME!! I can't imagine how people hold on any longer than that. Kudos to them, because that takes plenty of faith, trust, aaaaaand pixiedust to keep the spirit of Disney alive!

I keep having those nagging thoughts in the back of my mind that I will find out on whichever day it is at the time as well! Last night I even had a dream where I cracked open my laptop, tapped out my UN and PW and alas, found out that I'd been rejected.

Good thing it was only a dream!


Anywho, just always remember that no news can always mean good news is right around that corner. And good things come to those who wait.

I've only been waiting eleven days and its KILLING ME!! I can't imagine how people hold on any longer than that. Kudos to them, because that takes plenty of faith, trust, aaaaaand pixiedust to keep the spirit of Disney alive!

Lizzie, you have the same mindset as me! I keep having these negative thoughts about getting "rejected" but I put my positive pants on and continue with my day. We HAVE to think positive and be hopeful. We are DCP "hopefuls". I haven't had any rejected dreams yet, thank goodness. Today marked 7 days, so no news is still good news for me!

You are definitely the winner of this waiting game! I can't even imagine waiting that long. I was going to apply in September, but I thought you still had to go to the information session so I waited until October 24 to apply because that was the first of two dates that they were at my school. Obviously I missed where they changed that this year but they still asked if you had attended one on the first application so hopefully they will notice that. =/

Hey guysss! I think we should be relaxed until the two weeks of the interview. I am gettim used to the waiting I'm thinking 2 myself that I did a good interview and there is no reason why I should be rejected.Two weeks of waiting next monday. I am hopeful that I will get my acceptance on that week. I had to register 4 classes for my next semesterat my university ao i am hoping for the acceptance so I can drop those cla

Well, I got an email today stating that my application was being processed and that I was awaiting final decision. They said that if I don't hear anything by December 19th, I should call them. Ahhh! I really hope I don't have to wait THAT long! I guess I'll apply for my spring classes at my college. It will be a great sense of impowerment when I can drop them, stating that "I'm going to Disney World!" -fingers crossed-

Well, I got an email today stating that my application was being processed and that I was awaiting final decision. They said that if I don't hear anything by December 19th, I should call them.

That is what my family friend was told when she called them last week after weeks of them telling her she'd find out any day. Because of that, she'd put her plans on hold, but now she's given up and is assuming she's not getting in and is moving on.

The same thing has happened to me. I was pended on SEPTEMBER 13!!! The wait is killing me but I am just assuming that I am not getting in and am moving on with my life. The waiting would just make me so upset because every week would pass by and others that have waited 2 days would hear from Disney. The stress and annoyance just made me really frustrated. Because of this, I just applied for my spring classes and if I do get in at SOME point, it would be a nice surprise but I am not counting on it.

I think its nice that you are still hoping for it, but just make sure that it doesn't frustrate you as much as it did me.

Positive thinkers should totally go work for the mouse, just saying. I mean I don't know if you all are Harry Potter fans(yes I'm aware it's not Disney), but I didn't get my letter to Hogwarts when I was 11 so I really want this acceptance letter haha. I will definitely keep you updated on my status. As 11:43 this morning, no e-mails, and ummm let's check my dashboard real quick...

I can't think like that. I mean, I was already going to make plans just in case, but I'd get depressed if I just assumed I didn't get it. It'd break my heart. So, I'm going to remain realistic but also remain very hopeful. It is frustrating when you hear that so many people got in after two to four days after the interview, but you just have to think that there is always THE NEXT semester, and that they're trying to find a role for everyone.

I'm just trying to stay optimistic. It's hard to also be realistic at the same time, but that's just who I am. Don't give up entirely! You never know, people DO actually say no to this once they are accepted. More roles for US to fill. -evil laugh-

Haha I know what you mean. Eek I've been trying to log on and I guess I forgot my password. The last time I tried it told me "this page does not exist anymore". Well, I didn't get a rejection email, so I'm just gonna take that to mean I need to stop checking.

I applied to the CP as soon as it opened in September. I have been waiting ever since. While I have been waiting I have also applied for some PIs. I received a letter saying I am on the waiting list about two weeks ago (for the CP). I am currently on the post interview stage on one of the PIs . I am trying to be patient. Not so easy, but I am still cautiously optimistic.

Congrats to all who have already gotten in, and good luck to those who are still waiting like myself.

I am still pending too. The 19th can't come soon enough. I am nervous and excited. While I have been waiting to see if I get in the CP, I have been applying to a lot of PIs, just to extend my chances.
