Is it just me or is Dia soooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring? I wanna smack her to wake her up or something.

Ooookkkkk, see I was thinking the show was like American Idol or something where they're expected to be pretty amateur. But being a (at one point, at least) signed recording artist is OK for the Voice then? I'm not so confused anymore then!

Do they make that a well-known fact on the show or do they try to sweep that under the table?? I mean, I'm fairly avid music fan (musical elitist, my DH would say) and I was able to recognize Dia just by her face so I've got to think there's a significant part of their audience that knows her from her band... and has paid money for her albums, merch & to see her in concert.

Not sure that they intentionally hide any prior fame , but don't promote it either.
Now that I have said that , there is the ITune plug..which yes, Dia already had a decent following, Vicci too....which puts them at somewhat of an advantage over Javier and Beverly (no idea if they have stuff out there) I kow the show wil be all over whoever is selling, and ITunes is a huge indicator.

she does come across as kinda *vacant* to me, lol...the malls open but no ones shopping. Her baby voice bugs me, but that's any adult---However, she does have an Indie -kinda voice that is pretty hot right now.

I agree with you guys about Dia, I wish she would show some more excitement!

My son's gf is just like her. She's ridiculously shy and barely opens her mouth. Michael thinks she hung the moon, though... just like Dia. I need a little more confidence and animation in a performer, though. But based on Itunes, she's got this show in the bag.

yeah....I'm ok with any of the 4 winning (tho I am still pulling for Vicci) I can think of a WHOLE lot of current *talent* out there that I would gladly dump in favor of these 4.

I like Beverly's the best for the originals, I imagine the studio version is far better. A little bubble-gum, sort of Brett Michaels/Poison type...but I'll take it.

Just saw on our news that The Voice is coming to Chicago for auditions, held at Navy Pier July 14-16. If you have production Assitant experience they are also looking for daily workers

It looks like it will be close between Javier and Dia. Dia is #1 on itunes right now and Javier is #2. Vicci is at #13 and Beverley is #25. Of the original songs, I did like Dia's the best. But Javier's was catchy and really radio-friendly.

I've had these as top two, but Javier is MY choice. Dia has been around and is more recognizable, may put her over the top. DGDs keep saying, "Dia's already famous, why is she on T"he Voice?"

Dia, Vicci and Javier have all had record deals. Javier was signed with Capitol records and had 2 solo cds out and was in another band before that. Vicci has released 4 albums and sells out shows in the NW. So other than Beverley, I think Javier and Vicci are not really at any disadvantage towards Dia. Remember, Meg&Dia were dropped from their label. So they couldn't have been THAT popular.

I understand. It's my opinion, Dia has the most recognition of the four.

It was awesome! I saw Stevie, several times...back in the day.

Javier has an amazing voice...beautiful!!

I think Stevie's voice is starting to let her down. That wasn't her best performance.
