Okay, so how did the sandwich not mold for over ten years? I don't get it

I am amazed that there is someone out there that is willing to pay 17,000 on a 10 year old half eaten grilled cheese

Has anyone done a search for Virgin Mary grilled cheese? I can definitely tell you the person who is bidding is not going to pay. Some of the auctions are funny. One lady is asking that if someone can bid that much on a sandwich to give her husband a job.
