The Villas at Grand Floridian Opened Today!

It's been a long time researching, but to celebrate the opening of the Villas at Grand Floridian today we made our first DVC purchase with 100 points at VGF.

I really wanted resale to work out, but ultimately too many people have said "buy where you are happy staying" and we love staying at Grand Floridian. And when you run the numbers, the initial purchase is such a small amount compared to the MFs that's it's less important.

I really wanted to add on after touring the villas, it's really gorgeous.
We decided to hold off, even though would be cheaper to do it now before their prices go up again.

Congratulations and Welcome Home! With your love of the GF hotel, I'm sure you will create many happy memories in the years to come! We felt just the same about Wilderness Lodge when we bought 12 years ago, and have never regretted it!

I know what you mean ,we bought 12 years ago at the Beach Club but our hearts were only for the Grand, In the process of selling our Beach Club,and we already bought 300 points at the Grand!!!! I agree you only should buy where u want to be. We only stayed at Beach club once in 12 years. We would rent them out and use the money to stay at the Grand.

My guide told me that they are switching next week to selling a June UY at VGF instead of he April UY we just bought.

They will sell you any use year. We bought August UY in August.

For reasons that only Disney knows they tend to settle on certain UY's. That changes the availability for resale UY's for all time.

Disney will sell you any UY you just have to ask and insist.
