The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

You could use the ones in the main lobby and then walk around the lobby area and through the halls to the V-C wing. I’ve done that a couple of times out of curiosity.
My kids enjoy doing that route when they're off on their own ... I don't think it costs them extra time, except for busy times in the lobby elevators. Napa Rose elevators would be worse (I think)

Also, there are likely permits filed with the city of Anaheim for whatever it is. I used to see someone posting on Reddit or twitter about ride mods that required permits that were publicly available. I do not have that kind of free time today, but I might have a few hours to kill in the middle of the week :)

The message is coming up on any dates I look at next year. I was hoping it would only show the "late 2026" dates, but it's showing up even looking at Feb. The "allow more travel time" makes me wonder about the parking lot and/or the entrance area.

There will potentially be a post with that information in the mega Grand Californian thread on the Disneyland board.

Clearly I need to start paying more attention when I book. This is a good catch.

Ah. We typically go later in June but this time we arrive on the 13th.
We were initially going to go in August, but recently moved it to June so we could do Aulani in August. It’s always a trick to match up the point charts, with flight prices, and then the kids school schedule.

I have a very flexible work schedule and so that makes the beginning and end of summer with mid-week flights a sweet spot.

I think we settled on still going to Aulani in August rather than Sept, so we may cross paths

I’ve extremely familiar with the resort, it’s just the gamble of getting a room that’s NOT one of those rooms.

We are big fans of the inner-V Ocean View Ewa tower.
When we stayed the first year non grand villa stay the front desk was very helpful. I stopped in at check in and they actually had photos of the view to show me and let me change my assigned room.

My son goes back to school so early in August. I hate it. His first day next year is August 12th. And a couple days to a week before we typically meet with his teacher and he visits his room and stuff. So August is basically a bust for us. June has been good to us so far though! Once he's over 18, we might try to go other times of year.
