How would it work if you already have purchased LL? Can you ride one ride twice? I’m sure the DVC Guides in CA were thrilled to hear about this….

Yeah so many questions. I do think this will make getting LL at the most popular attractions even harder.

Yeahhh, just another change for guides to miscommunicate to members and get abused about. Should be fun

I guess maybe it’s like the multi experience pass you get when a ride goes down sometimes? It coins differently than your other LLs. You get 4 options for that day now? Well 5 if you buy an ILL too. And I guess it only uses it if the LL doesn’t exist already so if you want to do a ride twice, it activates the second time? That’s my best guess but guaranteed there will be glitches.

I feel like all it’s going to mean is you can book your first lightning lane before entering the park if you are staying on site. I agree it should be valid for every day of your stay

Scott Gustin is reporting the benefit “was not widely used” and that DVC will not get the single free LL.

Hotel guests should at a minimum get 1 LL per day. Per stay is cheap as all get out.

ETA: Scott has since changed his mind- or did someone higher up at Disneyland tell the new Disneyland Chapek that was a step too cheap…

Also if anyone is around, the DVC center in DCA has a new cute reusable tote they’re giving out. Similar material as the new MK ones, like a grocery haul bag. I’ll post a pic later if anyone wants when I get it out of my car lol

Also, also I’m sure this isn’t new news but in case you aren’t aware cause I didn’t know, there is a member only treat stop at that same location during Oogie Boogie and they have another cute reusable bag already filled with candy to give to members! I saw them making them yesterday when I stopped by right before the park closed and the party started. Was hoping they might pixie dust me with one hahah understandably, i was not

I mentioned while talking to a guide last time we were at grand cal that it really seems like DVC isn't valued at Disneyland vs WDW, with things like the 20% discount and actual pass discounts. Seeing DVC not even get the new LL (Even if one per trip is terrible anyway), is just baffling. Its like they forget out here even exists.

See I thought the opposite. DLR gives out a lot of really good free swag (hats cups, coasters) and at WDW you get a sticker.

Is there any precedent for them treating DVC Members worse than cash guests? Not that I know of.

Yeah the swag at disneyland is nice.

What really irked me is that even DVC members couldn't buy Magic Keys when they were sold out when the VDH tower first opened. Like you'd think you'd allow new owners to your fancy new hotel to buy AP's. But its like the parks and hotels at disneyland don't communicate at all.

The showerheads on the cash side be nice. Sorry I have to slip in my distain of the refurb whenever I can.
