Glenn Beck had been booked for The View before the "incident". Whoopi and Barbara attacked him today because he blatantly told lies RE: them at the Correspondents' Dinner on his radio show. Naturally, this made them angry; this was a personal attack, not a difference of political review. They asked him why he lied and he was just a mess answering, trying to beat around the bush. I am glad Whoopi called him out on his BS and lying.

And they gave him the next segment of the show to trash Pelosi anyway, so I don't see what the problem is.

What lies did he tell? And why is it ok to personally attack a guest on the show? You don't see what the problem is?

He was a lying sack of crap on his show and they called him on it. If he is going to tell lies about the View and come on the show, then he is not only a liar but a stupid liar.

No, I think celebs on each side like to stir up interest to get people to watch their shows.

Now Glen will say something on his show and then the View will say something on their show.

Much like the war with Olberman and Limbaugh & O'Reilly.

It is all a stupid ratings ploy anyway.

The show with Glen Beck is just one example of their behavior. There are many more to list. When they don't like the guest or they go against what they believe in, that guest is done. I just think more positive people open to both sides of an argument are needed. Time for Joy, Whoppi, and Barbara to move on.

He had to know what he was in for.

Bill O'Reilly was on there a few months back. Joy sat there like a child, with her arms crossed, and pouting look on her face. It was almost amusing to watch. She stated she didn't like him, so she wouldn't be speaking to him.

The View has really changed in the last year and I think there is a difference btw. attacking your guests and disagreeing with them. I think the whole Beck thing was ridiculous. There were two issues about the entire incident: 1. Who came over to whose table on the Amtrack? (a silly argument they couldn't let go) and 2. if they had a reserved seat on the train (which how would they know who Beck spoke with before they arrived?).

Now Beck's imitation of Barbara was rude, but not the worst I've heard. He knew he was going on the show and the bit I saw wasn't anything significant. And for Whoopi to sit and give such dirty looks was as immature as her annoying valley girl impression. I only watch their hot topics usually, but I may just start skipping that too.

I know where all the ladies stand on their political views and I am all for everyone debating issues. That's what I wanted Beck to do instead of bickering seating arrangements on Amtrack. I thought he might bring some interesting POV instead of the Elizabeth vs. everyone else bickering they usually have.

Hey I don't like Bill O either but if he is gong to be on a show in which I co-host I'd show him some courtesy. If it was really an issue that i couldn't be professional I'd excuse myself for the day and think of another line of work where I would only be around people I agree with and can be polite to. Joy needs to grow up.

I won't pretend to like O'Reilly either, but I would still be civil to him. If Joy had that much of a problem with him, she shouldn't of been in that segment.

That is a good idea. They should tell each host if they can't behave call in sick that day. I really can't imagine having a dislike for someone unless they were a killer or did something really bad. Not to agree with someone would not cause me to become so hateful.
