I cannot stand Barbara. Everytime someone says something remotely controversial, she looks like a disappointed grandmother; she closes her eyes and looks down (maybe I have issues from early childhood?).

Whoopi's comment today to Elizabeth kind of irked me though - something about "you are too young to have such a strong viewpoint". Kind of makes you wonder why Whoopie's not sitting around a table with a bunch of 50/60 yr old women.

This is my plan for getting rid of Elizabeth. I cancelled my season pass when Rosie left. The day after Elizabeth maternity leave starts I get a season pass for the show again

Now I just need to figure out how to get a few million other people to do it too

I watch The View daily and to be honest, I have absolutly no problem with Elizabeth. Barbara on the other hand...

I wish Barbara would take more days off.

I LOVED the view when Lisa and Meredith were on there. I don't watch it now because they ALL talk over each other. I didn't watch it when Rosie was on there because the time period between when she left her show and when she joined The View, she had changed A LOT (to say the least) and I didn't like her anymore. I don't get excited to see people who live for controversy, I knew bringing Rosie on there would be a mistake. As far as Elizabeth, I tend to agree with her~though not on everything. I also feel that when you are conservative in the media and you let your opinions be known, you can expect backlash. If a liberal gives their opinion, well......

I totally agree. Meredith and Lisa are intelligent, well-spoken women. Elisabeth and Rosie are stupid sheep who blindly believe all of the radical right wing/left wing crap (respectively) that circulates around the internet. Meredith and Lisa are newswomen: they READ and RESEARCHED and knew what they were talking about enough to form - - GASP! --- their own intelligent, well-spoken, well thought-out opinions. Rosie and Elisabeth are exactly the same, just on totally opposite sides.

I think the extreme of any side can be polarizing, not inclusive. Meredith has definitely won me over on the Today Show. Her voice is so soothing and comforting. I'm a true voice person and love a lower register, like hers. Whiny, little girly voices (like ms.hasselwhatever) kill my ears!!

I DVR it everyday then i can ff through Elisabeth's rants that don't make sense- I really like having Whoopi and Sherri on now too and I completely agree with you on Barbara looking like a disapointed grandma all the time- please retire already! I understand Whoopi's piont though that E is young to have such hardlined black and white views on everything under the sun. Joy makes me laugh - and when Elizabeth let her finish a point I usually agree with her or Whoopi. I will be soo happy when E is on maternity leave though!!
