It seems huge though. If you have one, is it too big to use as a carry on at the airport?

I bought it to use as a carry-on but I haven't flown since then - I think it will fit. It's a great bag, with lots of interior pockets and nice long straps (many of the other totes have straps that are too short to comfortably carry the bag on my shoulder). I wish I had an excuse to buy another one! ;)

I have this bag and use it every time I fly..... I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag !!! it holds everything.... it's got great interior pockets ( I think 6) that are nice and deep. I've put big headphones in the pockets and they fit no problem. I love that it zips shut. Plus, there's a big outside open pocket that's great for your plane tix so you're not searching all through the bag.

It's totally airline compliant and I put it right under the seat in front of me. I wouldn't travel without it. The great thing is, I usually bring a mini-hipster so I'll throw that in along w/ my Nook, headphones, magazines and any liquids in the clear bag.

You won't be sorry with this bag!!! :dance3:

You convinced me. A nice gift under the tree for me.

Oh, hooray!! :yay::woohoo:DD has been asking for something to pack in when she comes home from college for the weekend; she has a carry-on but it's just too big for a weekend (she goes to school 5 mins away but lives on campus). I saw this advertised yesterday and asked a question about it on a VERY long VB thread that's been going on for years, but got no replies. I decided to go ahead and order the Miller for DD, in Symphony in Hue (her favorite), and take a chance. I'm so happy to hear that it will be large enough for her! :cool1:

On a related topic... DD has the wristlet that holds her phone on the outside, her ID on the opposite outside, and cards/cash inside. Does anyone know if this is washable? It's looking pretty grubby... she's been using it non-stop since June!

Personally it's too big for me to use as a carry on. I like pockets as well, so I love the Metropolitan as a carry on.

You can wash Vera Bradley stuff, but I do it in cold water only and turn it inside out. I learned the hard way NOT doing that and had a bag that faded so bad in the wash. I was so disappointed. But the cold water / turning inside out works great. ( and I don't put it in the dryer) If you have a Vera bag w/ a cardboard bottom, make sure you take the cardboard out before you wash the bag.... :goodvibes

I have the Get Carried Away Tote that I use as a carry-on. I love it. It is different dimensions that the Miller bag. It does fit under the seat in front of me as long as I don't stuff it full.
