The Value of things

Does anyone think that the value of things it going to change? How I see it is right now the hot items are the Princess and Space stuff and the mouse ears. As people take their vacations they will get their own Mouse ears and Gold Mouse ears. I know when I go in October I am hooking up a few friends also that don't have vacations scheduled any time soon. That will eventually lower the value of the ears.

I am not sure where to put my credits. Do I horde them? Do I make a huge trade for one of the Princess items? Do I stockpile the pins?

The costumes, as more costumes are released I think that their value will go down. Right now I really want the Belle dress but that is because it is the only one. Yellow is my least favorite and Belle isn't one of my favorite Princesses so as other things are offered for me to wear I know that my desire for it will decrease. It will kind of spread the desire around. Each of us will want something different and some will want it all.

For the magic pins I want them badly because my skill level won't get them but as I play more and as others play more I see their value decrease. Other games will open and those items will be the hot things to have.

What I see is the pins having more value if they are sold one time only. Some furniture that isn't offered will remain hot because as people furnish their rooms and buy all that is offered they will want what they can't have.

I have pretty much resigned myself by the time I win the magic pins they won't be worth as much but I keep trying!

Oh yes of course it already has changed....I just wish I could get enough credits saved up to have one of everything available right now before it disappears or the price changes!

Hate to spend any of my credits because I am waiting for the new clothes to be released and do not want to get caught short-credited when they are.

They have turned us all into a bunch of credit packrats! LOL I am saving too :)

I'm starting to horde my credits too. Keep playing the jungle cruise over and over and over.
I recently just got a pair of black ears. I traded my princess tiara for them. I have the yellow dress and I honestly don't wear it that much (although I do enjoy wearing the top).

My philosophy is: things are only as 'valuable' as you make them. That is, i would not pay any amount of money for a space suit, just cause I didn't like it. I didn't care for this princess outfit either, but i did buy the crown. (I love my crown)

My point is, that you should buy and enjoy the things that you like (just as in real life) and not worry about getting something just because it is valuable, or might become valuable.

I understand that you might want to get some things as a 'virtual investment', but for me the bottom line is to get the things I like and really enjoy the things I have. I might get tired of them after a while and trade them off, but I don't buy things in VMK on speculation.

Just me. I know others follow a different philosophy, and that's just fine.

Relax and enjoy life,

Ok but this is worst. You know that pin you just bought for 1000 credits thinking well if I can not trade it to anyone I can use it as extra credits when I need them. Wrong. That pin is only worth 30 credits what gives. It should be worht at least 300 or 500 credits. I used to buy things and if I needed extra credits I would sell. Not any more. That Tiki fountain 800 credits I think I get 30 for it as well. Most of the stuff is 10 credits. What gives. Is this a clich becuase it does not seem fair. It is better to buy lots of pins for 25 credits then you at least get 10 credits back. I am not happy with the sell back program any more. :confused3

Thank you for my rant.

I'm a credit hoarder. :) I've been building up as much credits as I can everyday, just waiting for those 'limited' items to be released.

When those limited items are released, I buy 3 or 4 of each item. One to keep for myself, one to give away, and one or two to keep for trading later on. :)

Based on what we've seen and my intuition (along with other things) I would say it is smart to save up those credits you have!

I have a big feeling the new clothes are going to cost us dearly (and anything else they decide to charge for-nobody ever said that magic pins can't be or won't in the future be able to be bought... :rolleyes1 )

I've been beating Ned at the Jungle Cruise to death whenever my good friends aren't on...and have made about 4000 credits in the last week doing it.

My goal is to get to about 50,000.

Yes. 50,000.

Current "you can't get this" items are now worth a lot because all the new people who couldn't have gotten them want them. Who here has heard from a guest "OMG I have to have that crown! give now plz!" or "omg plz trade me ur space suit im poor"

Good luck. :) search for my thread about how to get the most from Ned the fastest. :)

Definitely save your credits for what you want and or need. You can not replace credits and as of now no limit has been set. If you see something you like buy it. maybe two if you think it will be popular. It's like coin collecting, don't collect pocket change thinking your going to be rich because you have it all or a ton of something. It's true things are worth what you make them...but as far as pricing, I've yet to see them lower the price on things. Furthur, lets look at recent limited pins. I don't know what the sub pin cost because I didn't pay attention, then 500 for the people mover pin and now 1,000 for the sky lift pin. Lets follow the trend here and we could be looking at 1,500 next - 2,000 after. No telling on this. Also do not discount the inability to trust when trading if you don't know the person they may stick you and you will wish for the 30 credits. Many times as the trader you are thinking magic pin and the other person is thinking, I'm poor and couldn't buy it, how about 3 crates and a dragon pin. trading can be of limited value unless you have bilt trust. I should get credits for everytime someone wants to trade me for the sub pin that would be the best value.

I think that the resale value of things is rather bad right now. I understand not giving you full credits back, but when you spend 1000 credits on something and can only get 10 back? Come on! Guess we just have to spend wisely!
