Hi All...

I've noticed the Dollar has dropped a little this last couple of day's, anyone on the board think it will continue to drop? I am trying to restrain myself from buying our currency & theme park tickets until close to August, however I'm finding it increasingly difficult to resist the temptation with the Dollar starting to drop....

Regards

Some good economic data from the US , plus more chat from the European central bankers has pushed sterling down to 1.8007 (interbank rate) . I think Thursday will be the crunch time and if the bank of england raises base rates we could see £ regain it's popularity pretty quickly.

I wish the Dollar had dropped in value....unfortunately its the £ that has fallen:(

We bought our currency last week from Travelex @ just under $1.77 and this morning bought TCs from them at just over $1.78 (the afternoon selling rate is now under £1.77).

Since we have used C/Cs and ATMs in recent years (Nationwide account holders, therefore no foreign currency charges) we are taking a gamble that the £ will not gain, before we go in July. There is a bit of me thinking that speculating 6 months in advance isn't wise, but the overwhelming reason for jumping now is that we are happy with the rates we got....come what may :earsboy: :earsgirl:
