I just dumped way too much money on another running costume

Crowned Athletics launched a new Heroine line this week and I couldn't resist that Crimson Witch athletic tank I'll probably be dressed like dozens of other runners but I just had to. I love strong female figures and I'm completely useless at crafting my own costumes

So far I have:
Mei Mei in pjs for the marathon
Scarlet Witch for the half or 10k, weather dependant
Della Duck (+ Louie) for the 5k with J

The second I saw this I immediately looked them up. I love them!! I’ve been trying to find good pieces for my captain marvel and scarlet witch costume, and here they are!

Replacement cricut came this week and I finally had time to sit down and set it up and cut the project I had started when it broke. At this point I’m just testing out which thickness of the lines will stick and apply the best, but I’m super excited about how this is going to look.

But it also has me wondering if I should add another color or 2 for the gems, or keep it simple and streamlined….any thoughts?

I personally like multiple colours. Could the lines for different gems be of different colours?

I agree with @flav it'd give more of a 7 dwarves feel with multiple colored gems

Oh yeah. It’s just adhesive vinyl, so I can cut it out of whatever colors.

My costume for the Princess 5k is set, and I tested these out on my 400m repeats Wednesday on the treadmill. They’re comfortable and didn’t move!

Need some help with costume ideas.
1. I have a half tomorrow evening; I think I'm going with my vintage bright orange Disney Running shirt
2. Captain America is the plan for the MCM
3. I need to order a moisture wicking version of the Mr Incredible shirt before January. I truly did not expect to get quite so sweaty in January and that cotton shirt was fun all soaking wet.
4. My Deadpool is all longsleeve and long tights. I can't wear that when it's warmer

So I need some other costume ideas that are doable for running. Maybe Buzz Lightyear? Or Iron Man?
I like the hero characters, if that theme isn't obvious. Hmm. Han Solo?

Open to any good suggestions.

KawaiianPizzaApparel on Etsy has their regular shirts and then they also have “athletic material” shirts in most (if not all?) of their stuff. Make sure is says something about it being athletic fabric.

Amazon has a LOT of superhero shirts in thin poly material; they are usually compression shirts, so check the size chart and maybe size up if you don’t want it to be tight. DH did an Ironman costume 2 years ago with one of those. There are a ridiculous number options though; tons of versions of each character.

What about Hercules? If its quite warm you can do that costume since its sleeveless.

You can probably do or find an adaptation for running of many superheroes. DD had a very athletic homemade Buzz Lightyear costume and it did not slow her down. I suggest looking for « desired superhero name running costumes », it gives a lot of idea on how to adapt. I found a tank too for Hans Solo for example.

Interesting! Thanks for posting this. I appears there is some clarification of a few rules, but mostly they are trying to eliminate some of the connected group costumes to avoid some of the course chaos that has happened from them. And no more inflatable TRexes.

Some of those costumes were great to look at, but not great when trying to get around them on the course. I wonder if it's now a safety or a congestion issue, or if they're responding to feedback from their surveys. I also see these inflatable costumes as not a good choice when you're dealing with the Florida heat. That plastic doesn't let you cool off.

There are plenty of ways to be creative and fit these guidelines.

I think that part is poorly worded, I don’t see why something handheld couldn’t be inflatable

I do not like the layers rule... it is way to vague esp when it is cold or rainy out... there will tons of layers. And like any jedi costume or bruno costume would so be easy to hide a weapon with... I just do not like those kind of vague rules cause almost any costume could have this issue depending on interpretation.

The “no full body costumes” change is unfortunate. rD told Ryan his beer cup costume would not be allowed under the new rules.
