The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

omg.. One of the twin mommies on my twin board died on Saturday. :sad1: SO SAD. She had been having some health issues going on, and they thought that she might have MS, and she was doing scans for that. I guess she had a headache on Friday, and went to the hospital on Saturday where she died from a bleed in her brain. She was only 27, and her babies were 5 and a half months old. :sad1:

oh wow, that is sad.. I feel bad for the family and the little babies without knowing their mom. Was it a friend that posted on the board?

I always wondered about that. If something happened to a frequent poster, they drop off the board with no warning.. people miss them but they have no idea why they don't post anymore. Sometimes the family doesn't even know they have this large circle of friends online. :sad1:

She was on the board above mine.. I was on March/April, and she was Jan/Feb but our boards are so close together that we all posted on both all the time. I saw her post all the time, but that is about it.

I guess on her facebook page her husband posted RIP 4/2/82-8/8/09 and some of the moms that were friends with her were messaging and trying to find out what happened and somehow got ahold of her husband who told them. I think that is a good way to do it! Frelan knows where I post... KIND OF. But he can easily get into face book if anything happens to me, you know?

Oh my gosh! That's just one year older than me. I can't imagine how awful for her whole family and her poor little babies.

I think I got food poisoning. We went out for dinner last night, ate lots of fish and shared a bottle of wine. I came home, a few hours later I had a snack then went to bed. At 4 am I was up throwing up and today my tummy is still sore. Dh has the poops and is nauseas.

I wanted to go to the hospital last night I hurt so bad but eventually fell asleep crying to dh. No throwing up today but still feel my stomach cramping.

Alison will read this in the morning.. and think ohhhhh Bernice is her usual odd self..

YEP!

NOPE! I went camping at Burnt Ridge MX this weekend. I have now come to believe that there is some BAD MOJO at that campground. That's the place I fell off my bicycle.

So here's my camping story this time. DH took the trailer up for us on Saturday, our friends that we camp and race with came up also. My DH had to work on Saturday night and her DH worked on Saturday. So her and i were alone with the kids Sat. night. Well Sue, DD and I were sitting around teh campfire chatting. Her son and my DS were riding their bikes around and ran over a yellow jacket nest. Needless to say kids were running everywhere and screaming. My DS obviously needs to be in track....because he ran clear to the bottom of the hill before we even knew what was going on. My DD also ran behind him. But the other little boy was not so lucky, he got stung 9 times!:scared1: My DS got stung only once. Anyway bees were stuck all over him, bees were everywhere and we ran into the trailer. We had to take all of his clothes off because bees were stuck on them and stinging him. We ended up with a few bees in the trailer. But thought we had got them all out. But later that evening after the kids calmed down, we were all laying in bed watching a movie and a bee came out from behind the blinds and stung the other little boy again...of course it was complete pandamonium again! No body could sleep, everyone was freaked out thinking more bees were going to come. But eventually everyone survived, the kids did well in their races today (DS came in 2nd out of 3, DD came in 3rd out 10 and the other little boy came in 3rd out of 15). But still not a weekend we will soon forget.

Oh and I recently packed a brand new giant, first aid kit. We decided to keep it in DH's truck instead of the trailer (because when we're racing we always have the truck, but not the rv). And where was DH's truck? Well he took it to work! But luckily some other families were camping nearby and we borrowed some Benadryl & Cortizone cream. :thumbsup2 So I am now going to be putting together a second first aid kit for the trailer now.

So anybody up for camping with me next weekend?:laughing:

Megan, so sorry to hear about your friend. What a tragic thing to happen to a young mother. :hug:

Dizzy, sorry about your mother. Hopefully she gets good medical attention and can get her condition under control. :hug:

Melody, congrats! Such exciting news.:hug:

Pix, good for you on starting at the gym.:thumbsup2

Bernice, well, never mind. I'm guessing you might be busy for a couple of days.;);)

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

OMG what the heck Alison??

Some serious bad karma there, it needs some psychic cleansing or something. Go call Gary Spivey, he will only charge you $300 a hour to do a reading. :lmao:

Go burn some sage, bring your mom along next time to keep watch over you.
I don't know but wow.. weirdness! I would be totally flipped out, I hate getting stung, bitten or anything bug related.. YUCK!

::blush:: Not that busy.

:laughing:

We did a couple of short trips today.. thrift store, panaderia (mmmm churros) and Target (needed a new scale, E didn't trust his semi broken hunk of plastic/metal.. one minute he weighed 19 kilos, the next he was 109 kilos ??? FYI: 2.2 pounds per kilo).

Monday, E has an errand at work and then we will do respite care for my sis. Taking my dn to the local zoo (free).

Her son was pretty traumatized by it. All night long he kept having nightmares about it and telling his mom to get the bees, the bees are on me, etc...so we hardly slept at all. Poor kid, but he was a real trooper today and did really well in his races. I think he was also traumatized because his mother was taking all of his clothes off. My kids had run down the hill and DD took DS's shirt off because the bees were on it and she had to take her jacket off. But we literally had to strip her son down to nothing.

Luckily there is only one more race left in the series. We love the track and the camping spots are awesome. Maybe it's just the bicycles we should leave at home?!:rotfl:

Alison!!! OMG. How scary. :scared1: Im so glad he wasnt allergic or something. Poor kiddo!!

Good morning all!

We got our other new kitty on Saturday. Her name is Gizmo.
Gizmo.jpg

We named the other kitty Pearl. Pearl does not like Gizmo too much yet. She keeps trying to bob Gizmo on the head and Gizmo just looks at her like what are you doing? :rotfl:

I think they will be fine in a few days. They are 2 months apart. Gizmo will be 8 weeks tomorrow.

The weekend before Labor Day DBF and I are going camping at Parker Dam with some family and friends. I think it's the California side of Lake Havasu. We were going to stay in a hotel but I called this RV Park time share place where some of DBF's family will be staying (they own a HUGE motorhome) and I got us 4 night free and we get to stay in one of there rental trailers. :thumbsup2 We just have to go to a 90 minute presentation but for a free stay I think its worth it. The RV park has 2 pools, a hot tub, a store, a bar, a resturant and it's right on the beach. And the trailers are pet friendly so we get to bring the kittys.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:I am SOOOO DUMB!! I hopped on the hubbies face book page to check something out really quick, and then I switched over to mine, and I checked which friends I have online right now.. and I saw him on there.. and I got all excited! Ohhh!! He's online! OMG. I am SOO DUMB! Hello!! Not only is he here, SLEEPING.. and we only have the one computer!! DUH! I am totally going to blame that one on the twins. :lmao:

The twins meaning the babies..not.. you know...;););) The girls. :rotfl2: I need a nap.
