I was supposed to work today, but don't feel very well. I've had a headache most of the day...not really sick, but just don't feel very energetic at all. So I stayed home and didn't do much of anything.

It's good to take time off and just do 'nothin' but I hope you are feeling better soon.

so how is everyone's new year going? I have a sore throat but other than that a friend of mine joined my gym so we have been going to the gym I just did a dance class and man did that kick my butt but so far going well on my weightloss

Poor Jasmine and poor you !
I know how tiring it can be to deal with screaming baby and you can't "fix it".
Parents at the daycare I worked at swore that the teething tablets work.

Feeling much better thank you. I don't know what was wrong, I think maybe I was starting to get a cold. My nose was a bit stuffy in the morning and I had a horrid headache. But of course I was using my Neilmed Sinus Rinse and I think it just stopped it cold in it's tracks.

I sure feel for you. One at a time teething was bad enuf, I can't imagine two! Hopefully the teeth break thru quickly and she calms down.

Meeeee toooooo!! I need to get an employee letter typed up and sent to you this week. I also need to get park tickets. Megan, where was the adult tickets for kids price? I think I will get a 3 day park hopper for Thursday-Saturday. I figure Sunday I can just go to DTD before my flight leaves. No use getting a park ticket for just a few hours.

DH was called to go back into work until midnite. It's just been totally crazy since his co-worker's accident. Most of that crew hasn't worked, DH is the only one from D crew that's been working. They had the memorial service on Saturday. He just got done working 5 12-hour nights and they called his this evening to go back in until around midnight. CRAZY. I know it will make for a nice paycheck, but he needs a bit of time off also.

Im pretty sure the tickets were at disneyland.com. I think it was $150. for 3 days.. I am so looking forward to this trip! After two weeks of having everyone home.. I am ready to go NOW! I need to check and see what time I am coming in on Thursday.. and what time I am leaving on Sunday.. I think I leave in the afternoon. What am I going to do for a few hours alone??

I got some new books over the break... and I sat on my butt and read for a week straight. I read all 8 of the Sookie Stackhouse books, there is another, but its in hardback.. I read a Mary Daheim book, and Craig Fergusens book. Yes.. In a WEEK! I really did nothing around the house. I let my husband do everything. I really liked the Sookie Stackhouse books. They are the books that the show True Blood is based on.

Today we cleaned out the kids room.. OMG. We took out at least five bags of rubbish. I cant tell you how tempted I was to put the cribs in there.. But hubby was like.. NO!! Mikalah will never let them sleep! So true. We will wait until they can fight back a little better. We also talked to his step mom about his little sis coming.. She will be here in the beginning of August! We cant WAIT!! We talked to Julie a bit on the phone, adn her English is SO much better. I was a little worried about that. Last time we saw her, it was a little hard to understand her. Of course... That was almost 6 years ago.

Two weeks with the guys under foot was okay, but I got bored and needed a break from listening to video games, teenagers over or Noah gone, and my boys' odd choices in music.. argh! Calgon take me away!!!! Do they even make Calgon anymore?

That would be great to put all the kidlets together. Soon.. soon.

All of you are going to have so much fun showing her a small part of life in the United States and getting to know each other as family.

My flight leaves at 12:15 on Sunday, which leaves me just a few hours in the morning for a leisurely breakfast and packing up before the shuttle comes.

Read a few more details on the Get a Day program and decided to skip it. I'll just pay the block out fee for Saturday. The question of what happens if you hold an AP made me question if they would allow me to use the free promo.. plus it takes 2 weeks for Disney to process from when the volunteer organization confirms your participation. There was only a few open events on the calendar that would fit into our schedule.. pushing it much too close to that two week deadline. Figured, screw it.. let some other family have a chance.

We went to the funeral for Noah's teacher last week. Parking lot packed, both sides of street full, we parked at a nearby school and walked back down to the church. Very large church, every seat was taken plus overflow area and still people standing in the lobby watching thru closed circuit TV. The majority of the audience were current and former students, other teachers and parents of students. The theme echoing thru it all was hers was a life well lived.

Noah's school has been very good about providing support to the students. They have extra counselors on staff and advised teachers on how to handle grief in middle school students. They chose a sub that has many years of experience as a teacher instead of some fresh young face from the sub pool.

Star Tribune interviewed a few of her students today, Noah will be in the paper on Tuesday. The principal called me directly to make sure it was okay, nice considering how big and busy the school is and we already have standard signed permission on file for any news events. She's new this year as principal, she was a dean before. She had to deal with this difficult and emotionally high event, hats off for doing a great job.
