I just wanted to know how many of you know about this little gem you can pay for when you book a package from Disney Travel.

If you dont know, When you book your package through Disney Travel you can use your ticket media as a constant FastPass by just showing it at the Fastpass entrance and WALLA, you avoid the normal lines. Isnt that nice.

So, what do you all think about it?
:earseek:

Larry, have you personally done this ? Because that is not usually how the program works.......usually the passes entitle you to hold 1 FP for each ride at the same time, but not more than 1 for a specific ride, plus you actually need Fp's.

We just received all of our documents for our trip Dec 18-22. It describes the new unlimited fastpass to those who booked with Disney travel as being able to get a fastpass ticket for each ride that uses fastpass without having to wait the 1 hour after your first fastpass was issued. So you can hold several fastpass tickets at one time, which wasn't available before (except you could get a fastpass for Pirates even while holding one for another attraction...a glitch in the system, I guess). It says nothing about being able to go up the fastpass line with just your entrance ticket. That would mean that anyone with an entrance ticket could do this, too, thus making a fastpass worthless.
It also isn't something "that you can pay for". It is a perk being offered by the Disney Travel Co. for booking with them, and is included in the package. By the way, we almost always book with the Disney Travel Co, and this Christmas the rates were less than last year...so I know that they didn't raise their price in order to include this extra. Also, they already sent us our admission (park hopper) tickets, and they look exactly the same as the ones from AAA and the parks, so again, we couldn't use this to just walk up the fastpass line...or else so could everyone in the park, and it wouldn't be a special perk for Disney Travel guests.
Larry, it sounds to me like you don't feel that this is fair? Am I wrong, or is that what you're thinking? I guess I'd have to say from my standpoint, I think it's perfectly fair, because I probably paid for this privilege in my package, and so could anyone else who wanted to. I've stayed offsite, with park tickets from AAA, which didn't have the one free fastpass that Disney Travel used to give, and I didn't begrudge the people who did have it, they paid for it.

Just wanted to confirm that yes, for 2003, when you book a package throught Disney travel, you can use your parkhopper ticket to get "unlimited fastpasses". You do, however, have to get the FP ticket from the FP machine and not just walk up the fast pass entrance with your parkhopper ticket.

This perk is going away in 2004 even if you book with Disney travel and stay at Disney hotel. HOWEVER - and this seems strange to me but I have confirmed the info with Disney travel - if you book a package with AAA AND stay at Disney hotel, you will get the unlimited fastpass.

Also, as far as being able to get Pirates fastpass when if you have one for another ride, that is correct. Pirates is not "networked" with other Disneyland machines. I have complete list of machines that are networked in both DL and CA if you need them.

Have a great time - we are going the week before you justmestace. Can't wait!!

We used AAA for our trip this past June and got the "unlimited fastpasses" I LOVED IT! I would even pay extra if given a chance for this. It saved so much time, especially when lines were really long (120 min at Splash)::yes::

I have not, I am a Premium Season Pass Holder.
Some friends and I are going down just after Christmas and while my buddy was on the phone with Disney Travel, they told him that is how it worked. I got on the phone to verify it because I didnt beleive it and she stated the same thing to me.
"You were to use your ticket media as a FastPass at the FastPass entrance to get on a ride, you do not have to process at the FastPass machine, go striaght to the FastPass Entrance.

I was stunned.

sierranevada, PLEASE, I would like that list.

Thanks.

In Disneyland, the following rides are networked

Indiana Jones Adventure
Splash Mountain
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Haunted Mansion
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Autopia
Space Mountain
Star Tours
it's a small world holiday (NOTE: Christmas version ONLY)

At DCA, the networked attractions are

California Screamin'
Mulholland Madness
Muppet Vision 3D
Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It!
It's Tough to be a Bug!
Soarin' Over California

Independent Machines (AKA Stand-Alone)

Pirates of the Caribbean (DL)
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin(DL)
Star Tours(DL)
Grizzly River Run (DCA)

This was accurate as of 10/2003.

Hope this helps!
