My husband and I will be going to Disney World this September for our 10th aniversary. I have been thinking of all of our previous trips and we have some great memories of things that happened that we did not expect. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences?
Here are some examples:
On our honeymoon:
We walked into Epoct and a cast member asked us what we were in the park to do that day. We said that we were on our honeymoon and I had never been to Epoct. He asked us what was the one thing in the park that we wanted to do that day. My husband immediately said Test Track. The cast member gave us a pass to skip the line at Test Track.
The same day in Epoct we were sitting on a bench catching our breath and a maintenance cast member asked us what park we were going to the next day. We told her we were going to MGM (this was 10 years ago lol). She said that if we went on rockin rollercoaster to be sure to put our heads back just as the car started to move. We did and watched everyone else's head snap back as the ride took off! Every time we go on that ride now we always say put your head back!
We went to lunch at the Land. There used to be a revolving restaruant there. We mentioned to the waiter that we were at Disney for our honeymoon. A little later we were "married" again and given a mickey marriage certificate and Chip and Dale sat at our table for a bit as well.
Other Trips:
Rockin roller coaster - One person in our party realized when we were getting off the ride that she had been sitting on someone's left behind electronic planner. When she went to give it to the cast member he asked if we wanted to ride the ride again. Of course we said yes, and he took us around and put us in the front of the line
50's cafe - My Hubby and I were with another couple that we go to disney with quite often. Apparently, one of the managers remembered our friend from his last visit and stuck his head through one of the kitchen windows to say hello and what a good eater he was.
The very best thing that happend (IMO) to us was a couple of years ago. We were in the animation building store looking at the cels that they sell there. I got on my tippy toes to tell my hubby that I love him and to kiss him on the cheek. From behind us we heard someone say "that was the sweetest thing I have ever seen!" We turned around to find a cast member smilng at us. He told my husband that he should buy me anything that I wanted from the store. My huband said that the items were a bit too expensive. The cast member looked at his watch (I suspect that he was going on break or had to be somewhere) and said come with me. He took us back to the front door of the animation theater (where they teach you to draw a character) and asked me who my favorite character was. I told him stitch. He then drew a stitch for me! It totally made my trip!
