Sunday 9th May - Mother's Day, Shopping & Hollywood Studios
We had a lie in - until 08.30am
We decided today, as it was Mother's Day in the US, to hit the malls and outlets for a spot of shopping, avoiding the parks for a couple of hours due to crowds.
Again, I got in and drove and found that my navigating and general driving was getting a little better and I felt more at ease behind the wheel. It was shock going from driving a Toyota Yaris to this...
We arrived at the Premium Outlets and headed off to the food court for a Subway breakfast alongside a coffee from Starbucks. We ate and then headed out around the shops. We hit Timberland and this is were Simon goes crazy, he loves the place! Everything over there is so much cheaper for him to buy than from Timberland over here in the UK. He got himself a stack of clothes and I bought some sandals. We carried on and my brother and Mum both got some Sketchers Shape-Ups and trainers from Nike.
I finally found the Disney outlet store and bagged myself some $1 pins for trading in the parks. My Dad bought some also along with a belt and buckle with Mickey on
We grabbed an ice cream each from TCBY and finished them before driving back to I-drive to head over to the Florida Mall.
In the Florida Mall I found the Pandora store and the Polka Dotz store, but nothing caught my eye for my bracelet. Plus, the new Pandora store was extremely busy
Whilst in the mall I began to feel unwell, sickness and dizziness hit me before I knew it
My Dad decided it was time to take me back to the resort as he knew I wasn't too good, so we headed back and I sat on the bed and watched some TV (whilst feeling sorry for myself!) and the others hit the pool bar and pool.
Not wanting to spoil it for any of them (or miss out!
) I joined them all on the evening over at Hollywood Studios.
My tummy pains were very on and off and in between them I managed to drag myself onto Tower of Terror, with a wait time of 10 minutes and a few others. We wandered over towards the Cars meet and greet area and I was seriously shocked to find no line
We headed over to Toy Story Mania as this was a big one for us, as we'd never ridden before.
As you can see from the photo, it had a wait time of 70 minutes. Reluctantly, we got into the line
We figured by the time we'd rode, it would be nearly park closing time, but either way, we'd have done it at least once. Throughout the queue my tummy ache was just horrible, I was ridiculously warm too, which wasn't helping
I carried on simply as I needed to ride!
I absolutely loved the TSM queue, well, the theme was great, not the actual queue! It was great to see all the little toys from the films and how everything was done to a proper scale. I adored Mr. Potato Head, thought he was fantastic
Surprisingly, the queue was no-where near the 70 minutes we'd been quoted and we were done within 35 minutes!
My Mum fell in love with this ride - and has now confirmed it's her new favourite!
As you can see from the above photo, both my Mum and Dad loved it! I did only manage a very poor score of 83,000!
They all beat me, which wasn't too hard!
As we'd done TSM quicker than we expected, we decided that we'd try the Great Movie Ride and found there was no queue at all - a walk on!
We came out of the GMR and it was closing time, so we headed for the bus and back to ASSp for a cup of tea and the rest of the guys had a pizza. As I wasn't feeling too good, I went off to bed in hope it'd be gone by morning!
Next - it's the day you've all been waiting for....
