according to the unofficaly guide it says that the following rides shouldn have long waits after 5:30

In general this is true. HM and Buzz are kind of hit or miss with lines in the summer, but toward evening the others are usually decently short (10 minutes or less). Pirates is kind of a pain in the evening once they block things off for Fantasmic, it's crowded over in that area and difficult to traverse from one point to another.

During Fantasmic Splash Mountain often has no line at all, we have enjoyed a snack from Pooh's Corner and let the older kids ride over and over and over again.

No I don't agree with it Well, maybe some of the rides, but not all of those, and I think it really depends on the time of year and even the day, and time of day/night, more so than just after 5:30 like the guide book says. Winnie the Pooh doesn't really get much of a line anyway right, unless the park is really crowded?? We've riden Buzz walking on and same time next day, there was a long wait. Never know nowadays if you ask me, it's getting pretty hard to predict.

I am learning that you never really know what to expect when you get to the parks. Just gotta go with the flow, have a game plan and expect the unexpected, and hope for the best. We went the week after Thanksgiving last year and the year before. Even though it was the same time period, what worked for us in 2010 didn't in 2011. Crowds were different. In 2010 after say 10, Fantasyland the the park in general became pretty empty, so we were all excited to experience that again last year, and no such luck, it was still crowded until closing.

Yea I found Pooh to be walk on almost all day on the Jan weekend we went last year. I think it got a 10-15 minute wait once that I saw but 30 minutes later it was walk on again.

Yes usually, except for HM during holiday season (Mid-Sept to early Jan).

ok thanks! i really appreciate the input. i might try to do as many rides before 1 and stick to doing shows and non wait attracations in the evening
