So, is anyone going to see them in Hawaii?

My DH wants to! He is lobbying pretty hard, but we've got another trip to the Caribbean coming up in June that I don't want to cancel. We've seen U2 24 times together over the years (and he has a bunch of other times before I was around), so I think he'll survive! Maybe if we win the lottery and can quit our jobs, LOL. U2 rules!

Sadly, we're not going either.

We'll be at WDW for Star Wars weekends 2 weeks in May so all our vacation is gone...along with our money.

I've heard another album is already in the works so maybe they'll tour again in 2008-09.

I tried to convince DH to go to Hawaii for the shows.

I guess that meant no.

WOW, 5 grammys, one from each category they were nominated in!

I enjoyed watching them perform Vertigo but I hated last night's version of ONE and that's one of my favorite songs. I think Mary J. Blige butchered/ruined the song, I was so disappointed.

What did you guys think?

The only time I turned the Grammys on, it turned out to be when they were announcing the Album of the year. I was so happy to hear that U2 got it. I'm proud of the Lads. They did a great job.

I actually liked the version at the grammys. Wouldn't want to hear it all the time, but I thought it was interesting. Mary was certainly very passionate. Of course, Bono gave her all the good lines! DH told me she joined them to sing one at a couple of concerts last leg of the tour.

I finally had to chance to watch the Grammy's today!! I'm so excited about all of U2's wins. As for One, I thought it was just ok. I agree that it was interesting however, I've heard it a few times on live show recording from this tour and I'm over it. At the end of the day no one does it better than Bono.

I didn't watch the Grammy's , but that's great that they won all of those! The first few times I heard the HTDAAB CD I though it was OK but not spectacular. But it has really grown on me over time, and I am very happy that it's gotten Grammy recognition! I am also so glad I got to see the Vertigo tour in Toronto last September!

Did anyone have/get tickets for this show??? I'm so bummed since I will be at WDW until 12/9. However, I could think of worse reasons to not be able to be with the boys!!!

U2 and tour promoters The Next Adventure (TNA) today announced new show dates for those previously postponed on the U2//Vertigo Tour – including Hawaii on December 9th.

And U2 have announced that Pearl Jam have been added as special guests for the show in Honolulu – as well as the previously announced support act, U2 stage manager Rocko Reedy with his band Rocko and the Devils.

Pearl Jam - one of rock’s most influential and active artists - are currently touring North America, followed by dates in Europe and Australia prior to joining U2 in Hawaii.

“It’s going to be a great night in Hawaii,’ said Paul McGuinness, U2’s manager. ‘The band are really pleased Pearl Jam could join the bill – a great end to what has already been a very successful tour.”

Ticket holders in Hawaii should retain and use their existing tickets for the rescheduled performance. Every effort was made to reschedule the performances on corresponding days of the week, and Hawaiian fans will note that the U2 concert in Honolulu remains on a Saturday evening.
