The Twelve Days of Swinter: From Castaway 'Key' to a Partridge in a Palm Tree!

Good Lordy! Not a great start to the trip but I choose to think that the worst is over. Positive thoughts! Positive thoughts!

Not a good start at all, you definitely needed a big dose of pixie dust! Hopefully things are better now :goodvibes

Didn't you have to deal with a hurricane when you cruised last year too??? It was so long ago when you wrote about that part I've forgotten :rolleyes1

It's all just going to make your arrival at Disney that much more magical. pixiedust:

Fingers crossed that happens SOON!

Dyin to know where Rinky is at this moment....hope she loves POR
Wish I were there, but no, have to be here in jersey and fight
"SANDY"...must be some kinda halloween prank!:crazy2:

OH no...hopefully this means nothing but good can happen now. I am worried about Sandy too. She should be long gone by next week, but I worry like you about the ports too. I think they try to get back pretty fast though. Last Aug, karin went on 3 Dream cruises. I think her 2nd had a hurricane and by her 3rd they were able to go back to CC.

Rinky, hopefully that is the worst you have to deal with for this vacation. Only good thoughts coming your way. I hope you love POR. Be sure to see YeeHa Bob in the Rooster Lounge. He's not there nightly, so check his schedule.

Rinky - hoping Sandy doesn't give you much trouble on your cruise or your time at WDW! I think you are owed some good vibes now after all that yuckiness on the way down!!
:goodvibes

I only have a second so I'll have to reply to everyone later, but I sure do appreciate the well wishes. We got here safely yesterday and POR is beautiful. I instantly felt my troubles melt away! We got a great room location and the resort is so peaceful, although very crowded. We went to Epcot yesterday and it was so hot, so humid, and soooo crowded. I've never seen Disney like this. I'm used to empty parks! We did have a wonderful dinner last night at La Hacienda while watching Illuminations though. SOOOO magical! pixiedust: Just as wonderful as it was last year. But I wasn't feeling very well last night before we left Epcot... thought I was just tired... no such luck. I picked up some kind of bug it appears and was up all night throwing up with chills and then sweating! It just seems that this trip is not going to be as perfect as the proir three, but we're going to make the best of it. I feel ok this morning and think most of it has passed. I hope we can make it to MK as planned today. I'll keep you guys posted and thanks for the pixie dust! I need a few gallons of it! pixiedust:

And yes Michelle, we had lots of hurrican drama last year too. I might be done traveling in late October. :rolleyes2

I'm thinking of all of you who may be affected by the storm. I hope you all stay safe.

Feel Better Fast Rinky!!
I thought the crowds were bigger than I expected them when we were there last week too. Maybe it's food and wine. Is that ending soon?

Oh No! I hope you feel better fast! It is never fun being sick on vacation. I had bronchitis on my Spring break trip in 08. I was miserable, but I spent half a day sleeping at the resort while my friends went out to play at the MK, and felt much better later that night. Ive been sick on other trips too, but Disney is the worst with all the walking you have to do. Feel better soon!

Rinky

I cringed reading about Epcot being hot, humid and crowded and then your being Ill on top of it all, glad you were feeling better this morning :)

Hope you are feeling better this afternoon and that you had a great MK day! Stinks to be sick on vacation.:grouphug:

Hi Rinky I hope you are feeling beter soon. I can't wait to hear about POR. We are staying there in May after our cruise.

Holy Cow....hope this bug you had is it for the bad stuff!!! YIKES...only perfect and magic from here on!!!!! POR is a great resort, ENJOY!!!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust

I hope things are better from here on out. If they aren't....well, we just have to handle the bad days and appreciate the good days even more. Hope nobody else gets sick and the bad weather moves on by. Keep us posted!
