The trip where the surprises kept coming

Tues 17th Feb Day 4
Another early morning for EMH and again the decision about which sink to use to clean my teeth. Charys loved the fact that you could still hear the TV in the bathroom but I hated it no escape from Zac and Cody.
Anyhow we made the long walk to the park again and did our usual EMH rides: Peter Pan, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Carrousel, Pinochio then made our way across to Discoveryland to do Buzz.
Who should we meet on route but HildasMuriel and daughter Hello again.
Then it was back to the hotel for another yummy breakfast. This time we were in California Grill to eat it whereas yesterday we had been in Inventions but another lovely view of the castle to go with the marvellous food.
After more character photos we headed back into the park and went to Frontierland to collect FPs for guess what? Yes how did you know? BTM.
I hope you noticed I didnt ride it at all yesterday as I used my hotel FP on TOT instead so I was due a few rides today.
We wandered over to Woodys Village to see if the train was running for a lap round the park but the station was closed so we went back to do PM again and then did a lap of the lake instead on the River boat.
We wandered back to the Chaperal theatre to watch the Mickey Winter Wonderland Show. It was almost full when we got in as the doors were about to close but we were lucky enough to find 3 seats 3 rows from the front and we had just sat down when they closed the doors and Charys was able to move onto the front row with other children which was great for when the characters came off stage.
As soon as we came out of this it was time for our FP slot on BTM so we went to ride it not once, not twice but 3 times in a row yes we had been naughty and used our old APs in the FP machine. Just to test them of course and check to see if it did work but of course once we had them there was no point in wasting them was there. We could have done it a 4th time with our hotel FPs but we decided to save that until evening as riding BTM in the dark is even better than during the day.
We wandered back to the hotel via some shops on Main Street buying a pair of pink and white Minnie mouse baseball boots for myself and a snowglobe. Some of the OUAD snowglobes had 50% off so we just had to have one especially as we got AP discount as well we ended up getting the first float.
Once back at the hotel we made a drink and had some birthday cake for lunch then settled down for an hours chill. DH falling asleep, Charys happy watching Disney channel on TV and what did I do? Wandered down to the lounge area for some DIS time (otherwise known as me time) well I had to use the Wifi I had paid for didnt I?
After a while we decided to head back into the parks to do a few rides and watch the parade again. We had decided previously that we wanted to try and stand near where Winnie the Pooh and friends danced so made our way to the corner between the Emporium and City Hall. We found a space by the rope next to a lady with 2 children on the other side of her - it was a space big enough for us all but we didnt use it all Charys sat at the front and I stood behind her. Before long another lady came and squashed in beside the 2 children it turned out they didnt belong to the lady already there. It was still fine there was still plenty of room but then 2 children (7 and 11 ish) and a man came to join the lady who then told him in a loud voice that shed had plenty of room but couldnt save it and looked at us. They then waved and beckoned their friends a couple with another child (7ish) who also tried to squash into the space and she also told them the same. She had had plenty of room but and again looked at us. This annoyed me a bit as we arent mind readers. When we stood there she didnt tell us she was saving the space and was the same Nationality so could have easily done this. It wouldnt have been so bad as the two youngest children sat in front next to Charys with the older boy and others behind however then the parents decided that it would have been good to get pushchairs for the children so they didnt have to sit on the cold pavement so the next thing they knew they had returned with 3 trying to squash them into the small space. This was for 7 and 11 year olds!!! We stood our ground though determined not to move because as I say it had annoyed me that she hadnt said anything at the time but felt she had to afterwards.
It paid off though as we had a really good view of Winnie and friends dancing and Tigger took a real shine to Charys. He came up to her and hugged her, she gave him a big kiss then he went further along. On his way back he stopped again and gave her a big hug. Then when the streamers were let off he collected one from the middle of the road and looked along the crowds until he found Charys again and gave it to her she was delighted.
We went to do a few more rides: Small World, POC, PM and of course BTM with hotel FP because by now it was dark then wandered back to the hotel to get changed and pack ready to leave tomorrow.
We were eating at California Grill tonight. We went to the Fantasia bar first and had a cocktail.
I will write a proper review of the food on the CG thread but will say it was wonderful. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed the whole experience. The restaurant was so nice and elegant yet child friendly and the waiter we had called Charys Princess all night.
After an amazing meal it was so late so DH and Charys went back to the room to bed. When we got there we found another surprise waiting for us: The Pin Fairy had been to pay us a visit and left a lanyard with 4 Tinkerbell pins on it on Charys pillow. This was really nice as she had really got into pin trading this trip.
I got the netbook and wandered back down to the lounge again to sit and relax and catch up with friends online before falling exhausted into bed myself.
