I got another travel partner today.

Of course I almost lost him as soon as I got him.

That is my little nephew Jason, he got a hold of Duffy and was off and headed back up to the house. When his mommy told him that Duffy was aunties he teared up and was ready to cry. Boy did I feel guilty. Did I feel guilty enough to let him keep it? No I did not. I am a mean, mean auntie.

I do have plans to get Duffy's picture taken with as many characters as I can find, make him a book of the pictures and get him his own Duffy. I had this plan before hand so I don't feel guilty. I am just thrilled that he loves Duffy that much. But face it what isn't there to love about that cute little bear?

I need to buy my Duffy some clothes though, but I am only taking pictures of him without clothes because Jason's Duffy is going to be sans clothes. I don't want to confuse him. I do know that my Duffy is in hiding until I get him his own.

Aren't they cute? I love the bows on them. Bella Ella and I had breakfast this morning and she has the cutest Dooney and Burke purse. I have been really good about not buying one, and I found out that they now have a store in New Orleans Square. I am will to bet that either D or I will come home with one after this trip.

I know, it was a close one. That Peanut is a sneaky dude. He kind of looked at me with these sad and eyes, turned around and started walking up the driveway with Duffy in his arms. Steph told him "no Jason that is aunties bear" he stopped and turned around. Icamethisclose to giving Duffy to him. I was strong.

Hey I'm soo excited for you on your upcoming trip. It's been awhile since I've been on the boards and it's great to hear and see the same enthusiam for...uh..er...NON-trip planning!!

My family will be there the same time you will, way cool!! Soo, tell me....the letters will be gone as well as the bridge at DCL?? I knew about the change and really excited about it but whoa hold your horses there Disney. I have some DL virgins coming with us and I wanted them to see the "before" before they would see the after!!

So catch me up Koaden39: going without the kids and hubby?? How cool is that? will this be your first trip without the family? of course pix are the focus here, need lots and lots especially of the renovated DLH. dounds like you will be doing lots of eating!!! will dole whips be on the agenda?

Well, Hi there!! Long time no see!!

The letters are gone but the bridge is still there right now but from what I understand it is going.

Yeah, my hubby understands my love or Disney, but maybe doesn't have as deep of a love of it? So, he is happy to let me go without him. He has his bicycles and I have Disneyland, and believe me it is equal. And the kids are all old enough to survive without mom for a few days.

I don't normally make so many plans for the food but my friend D had a few places she wanted to eat and the fact that we are sans kids it makes it more of a "grown-up" trip. And it is totally different when paying for one than paying for 6.

I hope it is a good time to visit crowd wise. Where are you guys staying? What days are you going?

I'm glad you didn't cave and give it to Jason ~ it will mean so much more after Duffy goes to DL and meets all the characters and THEN comes home to live with him. You are not a mean auntie! Quite the opposite.

ahhh the love of Disney!!!! It's contagious at my house! The kids love the rides and hubby loves the pins, it's a win win for us. I would love to plan a kidfree trip one of these days though. Maybe for my b-day...hmmmm.

Although I would love love love to be able to stay at DLH this time, alas it is not in the cards. Trying for an inexpensive trip this time. Eating less at the parks and more outside of or in our room. But, we are staying at the Anaheim Plaza. We are getting a 2 room family suite (4 queens- connecting rooms) for $106 a night. I like the rooms because they are much bigger than the norm. It is an older hotel but, they are clean and my hubby and I think the beds are comfy. Plus with 6 of us (9this trip) the extra bathroom is a MUST!!!!

We did, however, get AP and looking forward to using them ALOT!!!! We managed to visit DL 3 times last year and now that we are at Travis AFB, it just makes more since to get an AP.

We are leaving the base Tuesday (22nd), checking in the hotel and chilling at Downtown Disney. Eating dinner at Rainforest Cafe and doing some shopping and later to have some benighs (sp??). We will be visiting the parks Wed-Fri. and leaving Sat. am. Our original plan was to be at the parks on Mon-Wed. but our friends want to take advantage of the military appreciation tix and there is a black out day on Pres. day. So we just slid over our dates. No worries. The kids are on that furlough week from school so it really didn't matter, ya know.

I checked the Anaheim school district calendar and it looks like there is only one "track" that is off during that week. So, I'm thinking it should be good. Compared to New Years crowd (We celebrated our anniversary!!) it should be light!! I"m thinking just sit me down on a park bench with a churro and a cup of my (free) refill of joe and let me soak in the Disney magic!!

Soo, grown up time....with grown up food and grown up conversation. What a concept!! Good for you. What else do you have *not* planned?
