Hello!

Wow, it is obvious that I missed an emotional, tissue-filled day! There is so much I want to say and respond to, but I'm afraid I won't get to it all.

So, most importantly . . . thank you. Sincerely. A big part of what makes us all love Disney so much is that the magic they create is something we can share with others. More often than not, we can't help but share it. Everyone on this board has been so much fun, so supportive, so encouraging, so funny, so honest, and so passionate. You are the kind of people I want to surround myself with in everything I do. YOU are the kind of people I LOVE to share the magic of Disney with. (well, I guess I love to share it with everyone, but I couldn't have asked for a more incredible community than this one.)

So, I hope you'll understand if I can't get to every post I want to reply to tonight. I will try to catch up with most of you, but regardless, please know I'm thinking of you all and I can't find the words (that's right, the words aren't even in my vocabulary - and that's saying something!) to express how much joy you have already given me!

Best of luck to you Justin!!!

I am keeping you in my prayers and offering any support I can!

Have a safe flight and know that you are already the CMO for many of us here! :grouphug:

Goodnight everyone.......:cloud9:

Mrs. Fleagle...it's all good. Just throwing my 2 cents in...since that is about all I have left after the stupid transmission issue. :lmao:

In keeping in true BTM style.

NEWS FLASH

Reporters were on hand to capture Tripp receiving
the shipment of his new campaign flyers. :)

This reporter couldn't help but notice that DISboards
was on Tripp's PC when the shipment arrived.

GO DISBOARDS!!!!!!

Have a safe dive to WDW...Tripp and family!!

Love the latest BTM! (oh, and again, sorry to hear about the transmission!)

Tripp, if you are checking in tonight once you've made it to your destination for the night . . . first off --- are you getting as little sleep as I am? Second, and more importantly, HAVE A GREAT, SAFE JOURNEY! See you tomorrow!

Best of luck to you Justin!!!

I am keeping you in my prayers and offering any support I can!

Have a safe flight and know that you are already the CMO for many of us here! :grouphug:

Goodnight everyone.......:cloud9:

Thank you, Ann!

And actually, on that note, I need to check out for a bit... I still haven't started packing!

Maybe I'll be back on in time to catch the night shift tonight!

Hello!
Building shelving units tonight!
And the whip is still hidden...

Lets start off by giving a "YOU GO GIRL!!" to Cat! :yay:
(boy, i wish i was in disney)

Fleagles, what can I say, you are both fantastic!!! :grouphug:
I have almost caught up on the whole CMO thread 1, and I wish I was here to be a part of it.
The pins are fantastic and I will definately be wearing the LGMH and the pin proudly on our next visit to the world (as will DW). :cool1:

On that note....I have never made it public who I support, and during the Top 10 voting I voted for a few (4) contestants as they were all so good.
I have never been good in election type stuff, unless its a GOOD or BAD choice.
But this contest is all GOOD!!!
There is no BAD CMO.....if you know what I mean. :confused3
They are all DISNEY LOVERS. :cheer2:

But now it is down to 3......:dance3:

So here is MY outlook, (for what its worth)

I do not know much about David other than his video (which is quite good I might add) and being in television I can see why he is so comfortable in the video.
Way to go David!!!
Congratulaions :cheer2:
I hope you are just lurking here to "feel out" the competition (thats what I would do!) :thumbsup2
Unfortunately I have seen 2 other applicants videos as well.

Now comes my dilema...
Tripp and Justin....:confused3
Both a voting favourite for me during the Top 10....

Justin
You are so full of energy, it seems to me that you would revel in the whole CMO thing, and, as proven by your posts here, that seems to be the case.
Always happy (it seems:) ) and right there for answering questions and boosting morale.
I too can see you as Fleagle does, holding out the key.

Tripp
Your videos are really entertaining and I see your love for Disney as well.
I only wish I could live as close to it as you!
Just thinking about driving on the spur of the moment is ....wellllll....scary from here!
Orlando would be better but.....you know...
Back to my point.
I feel that your "real life" job would be a definate plus to the CMO position, that is, talking to hundreds of thousands of people every day (I HOPE!) and trying to make them happy just by the music you play, and being comfortable doing it!
Quite a task in itself, as I cannot speak publicly very well....OK...I freeze...:scared1:
I can also see you as the CM with the key.

This, to me, is a big decision.
I can see either one of T or J as CMO.
But I cant vote for both....well I could but....
Hey maybe thats it!
No...NO....
Well......

OH C**P

So...I must put myself behind ONE man (in this case)

I will have to say it will be..................

Hi guys!
I had to go out of town today and just finished reading all that has happened here. I honestly don’t know what to say. I have to admit, part of me feels like I’m going to explode if I don’t say something. So many times, I envy others here who say so well what they feel. But by now, many of you know that I am one that has a hard time with that—at least publicly. Tempt me with a “pm” feature or email option and you just might get more than you bargained for! ;)

But on this thread, I feel like we have all tried so hard to make it a place where everyone was comfortable, even in the midst of the competition of a lifetime. To me, it’s like there’s been an unspoken rule here…everyone votes their own way, but who those votes go to remains private. And the reasoning behind it simple: we don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, crush anyone’s dream, or make someone think that because we have voted for someone else, we don’t support them as well (because that’s just not the case). Words are very powerful (those spoken in person as well as those typed online). They can build up and encourage, or they can tear apart and destroy. Like so many of you I’m sure, I have been on the receiving end of both. And I will never ever on purpose throw words out there toward anyone just to make myself feel better. I’ve known people in my own life that that works for, but I’ve only ever felt worse after trying it. Perhaps I hold too much back because of it, but by siding publicly with someone here, that is how it makes me feel, like I am crushing someone else. And I think that some of you probably feel the same way.

Reading everyone’s thoughts today, I was really touched. You guys never cease to amaze me! I really appreciate everyone's comments and honesty. And about Justin…something I know about him is how sensitive to other’s needs and dreams he is. In several statements, he has commented on ways he would want to make magic, not just for those in the parks, but to actually bring people into the parks who might not otherwise ever get to go. He thinks big that way, and truly has a heart that will reach out to as many people as possible, in the most genuine way he can. I know that as he grants dreams, he’ll give away a little piece of himself with each one, making it even more magical.

So with all the public support for Tripp the last several weeks, I thought it only fair to say something on Justin’s behalf. I know if it were me, I would appreciate it, especially with all that’s been done for Tripp. :goodvibes

Remember, I didn't say I was good at it ... just that creativity struck!

WOW!
(All I can say is, "Wow!")

Marshay,

Those are awesome! Can you teach me to do that with towels?? ;)

:)

HA! Too funny!

You know: A similar thought crossed my mind. I was thinking that -- if Disney & CB run the same contest next year -- they should introduce the "Playing with Food" (Food Sculpting) challenge to their reality-show-type challenges! ::yes::

They are there permanently. We've been many times for visits. They live in Meridianville. Ds is hoping to fly there this summer or next to go to space camp!! He's so excited. He's wanted to go for years, now we're ready but he's waiting for a friend's schedule to open up.

I spent many days in Meridianville while growing up. I have a couple of cousins that live in Hazel Green as well. Even though I have been to the Space Center numerous times, I have never been fortunate enough to attend Space Camp. If your DS ever does get to go, he'll have a blast. I actually have another cousin that is a scuba instructor at the big water tank where they train for zero gravity.

I only live a little over an hour from Huntsville. My father and sister both still live in the Harvest/Madison area. If you're ever in town, maybe we could have a Dis mini-gathering!

hahahaha.... we don't have to have a "who's got the bigger font" fight here, guys and gals... It is making me laugh though.

I respect the decision of those who choose to support Justin. He's a great guy and would make a wonderful CMO, so would I, and so would David. David hasn't been represented here much if at all, but I did want to commend him. He had some great TV press on two early morning local California TV news shows. He looked great, carried himself well, and was comfortable on camera.

This is going to be a tough final 3. I still haven't decided who I am going to throw my support behind... oh wait, never mind.

Also, please no fighting and no biting. Cheer all you want, but don't turn it into anything nasty.

Thanks!

Very classy comments!

Agreed, Suz! (Hats off to you, Tripp!)

I must add: I know I've said it before, but I've been extremely impressed with how graciously the semifinalists (and finalists) have conducted themselves! This is such an emotional investment that I'm sure it would be all-too-easy to lose perspective...

I am currently reserved for September 4-14 for WDW. I've always gone in December/January so wanted to try a different time and picked right after Labor Day because it seemed like a good time for smaller crowds. There is a possibility that due to work constraints I'll have to change the trip to late September so we can definitely meet up if that happens!! Check out the WDW Celebrations web site for news about their event September 26-28. They are great folks and are sponsoring a bunch of fun events. One of their members, Adam Roth, is the incredible teen who co-organized the EPCOT Anniversary event last fall.

If the finances hold up I may be able to go back in December for MouseFest (my dates would be somewhere around December 7-17) or at least I'll have a conference in Orlando around MLK day in January.

I totally support a grand gathering for the DIS-nee family and like Marshay would try to make it happen if we get a group going.

I will follow your advice and check into the info and the websites. I have seen the WDW Celebrations site before.

I agree, it would be great if we could all meet at WDW for a grand gathering. I tried to drop a hint of that same idea in a post last night. In case anyone missed it, here is the hint again ...

DISGEEK...

Here's the link to the Woody's Round Up Cowboy Camp. I uploaded it especially for you!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9yy-Az578Q

Okay, interrupting my viewing to ask...

*Do you have any tips for guaranteeing a good viewing/videotaping spot? (You seemed to have one -- right in front of Woody and Jessie. How far in advance did you have to arrive?)

*'Any tips for getting picked for the "hobby horses"?

Thanks again! :thumbsup2
