as you know Ian and I have no children, so have no idea about such things, Ian came home from work today and his boss has given his son ten pounds from the tooth fairy. Is that the going rate these days, I am tempted to remove my teeth with the pliers:scared1:
Is it normal for the tooth fairy to pay ten pounds ??

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Dd lost her first tooth 3 weeks ago and got a £2 coin. She lost another 1 this week and got £1. £10 is ridiculous imo.

My SIL was shocked at £2 for the first one until dh mentioned he got 10p per tooth and I got 20p. She is in between us age wise and got 50p per tooth.

that sounds much more reasonable Nat, ten pounds, I was very shocked, and then he got a nineteen pounds game, so really the tooth fairy was giving out close on 30 pounds

When my DD's were really little they got 50p which went up to 1 quid (sorry no pound sign on this laptop) when they got older

A tenner's a bit OTT if you ask me ;)

you have all restored my faith, I am so pleased to hear this is not the norm

Always a £ coin here too...

 :scared1:

The tooth fairy won't be paying anywhere near £10 for our kids teeth I'll tell you that now! ;)

I do know of a girl at DDs school who got £5 for a tooth not so long ago:scared1: I explained that it must have been a quiet night for her so she had extra money that was too heavy to carry:lmao: But the going rate in our town is £1 a tooth.

My eldest DD lost her 1st tooth in January and she got £10.00. She's lost another one since and got £2 and will get the same from now on.

First tooth was £2 and a Tooth Fairy record book. £1 for every other tooth but only if they sparkle :rotfl:

Eve gets £2 per tooth but she's had loads of trouble with the enamel on her 'baby' teeth so I always feel, particularly, compassionate.......;)

OMG. I we only give my dd £1.00 per tooth. More money than sense :confused3

always a £ in this house too, although he does milk it for all its worth, he swallowed a tooth one year riding Splash Mountain! he didn't get a £ that year, but a pin instead.

The tooth fairy doesn't visit here - even when Sian had her teeth out the other week.

I know inflation has been on the up lately but I had no idea that it'd was that extreme! :scared1:

I don't want to think what the rate will be like when I have Kids... :scared:

50p here when the first one fell out, but that was some years ago, I think the last one was 75p, its all the tooth fairy had in change;)
