Don't want to talk to a broker yet, but does anyone know what percentage their commission is if we wish to sell our DVC points?

Thanks, RuthnPaul. I knew it wasn't the standard 6% realtor fee, but wow, that's high, IMO.

Yes, it seems to be a very lucrative business, doesn't it?

One thing I neglected to mention before is that if you have used a particular reseller in the past (whether buying or selling), make sure to inquire whether they offer any discount for "repeat customers". Because we have done business with both of the above resellers, they are offering us a 1% discount on their sales commission to sell one of our contracts. 9% isn't much different than 10% but I'd rather have it in my pocket!

I know that Jaki at www.atimeshare.com and ******** at *********** charge 10%.

Can somebody explain to me why certain resellers get *'d out on this web site yet not others? I tried to get around it recently and typed out the name of the reseller who I believe they keep blocking and I got my hand slapped from the administrator for doing such. I just think it is really unfair that certain reseller's can be discussed here yet one in particular that I know of cannot. I happened to use her and think she is wonderful and deserves to have her name mentioned as the others do...I also think it's only fair to those prospective buyers (and in this case sellers) to know of all of their choices--not just some of them...

Her name & web site also get **** out even if you try to send a PM to someone. This information is being filtered out automatically but the reason for doing so is a mystery to most, if not all, of us!

Well, can someone email me directly with the other timeshare people? It would be nice to have a choice. I'm not slamming any of them, but I believe in free choice.

Anything that is automatically replaced with *** means that the words are in the site word filter. These words have been placed there for a variety of reasons- in some cases they have been deemed to be profane and in other cases are there for violating site guidelines- often repeatedly. In all cases, these words are not welcome on the site. It has nothing to do with the site sponsor and everything to do with the site guidelines.

Attempts to bypass the purpose of the filter can result in the loss of posting privilege.

For more information, please review the site guidelines.

if your looking for dvc resellers, just do a google search, type in dvc timeshare resellers, and you will find alot of info. also for DVC, I think I would try to sell it on my own first, post it in TUG and see what happens.

Doc, I'd say you have a bright future as a political spokesperson.

Excuse my green-ness, but what is TUG?

TUG is the Timeshare Users Group and may be found at www.tug2.net . It offers great insight and discussion for general timeshare information and provides a classified section to list timeshares for sale or rent. It is a great resource to find information about the World Passport Collection and information about timeshares all over the world.
