150 Points at OKW

Smart move Tom. I'm sure that'll help keep the phones ringing (but you really should work on bumping your feedback rating up a bit).

Is that your first listing?

Thanks! How can I bump the feedback rating up? This is our first time advertising on E-Bay!

Tom :rolleyes1

I noticed this listing too when I was searching DVC stuff on e-bay.

Just a suggestion that you should really inlcude the important info like UY and points available and banked.

It would make it a heck of a lot easier when looking to purchase something.

We are just finalizing a OKW contract we saw on My Resort Network.
It clearly showed the UY, points available and banked.
We jumped on it immediately and the contract was ours.
I don't know if I would have gone to the trouble of calling or e-mailing for all the details if they were not listed.
Just my thoughts from a potential future buyer.

You are right! It definitely needs work! The first thing I noticed was the spelling error. "The #1 DVC Reseller in the WOLRD!

Welcome to my WOLRD!!!

Only through successful transactions, either buying or selling. It's also wise to follow-up with the other party and make sure they actually leave feedback. Most people will try to complete a number of successful transactions as a buyer before trying to sell.

Buyers are naturally more hesitant to deal with someone with very low feedback and a recent account creation date. Those are danger signs for fraud and abuse, and many eBay shoppers won't even consider dealing with someone using a newer account with little feedback.

My advice would be to buy some items on eBay with that account to build up a positive reputation. Maybe some cheap things like Disney pins or other trinkets that could actually be of value to your business.

Yep, like office supplies and stuff.

I wouldn't worry about making the listing too elaborate. You really should be looking to make the phone ring and, with that as the goal, sometimes less is more.

I'd suggest, however, that you really play up the #1 DVC Reseller angle. I see that it's in your subtitle, which is good, but you want to give more detailed company info in the description to instill buyer confidence and make them want to pick up the phone.

Also, take some time to create an About Me page and direct people to it in each of your auctions. From there you would be allowed to legally link to dvc-resales.com (which, btw, is what you should change your user name to immediately).

PS Did it just sell?

Thanks guys! I really do appreciate your suggestions and feedback!
I had the page pulled because I was a bit embarrassed. Compared to some of the others it just didn't make us look very professional. I'll take some of the good advice you've given and take another stab at it. I will proof it myself the next time!!!

Tom ;)

As you'll note from my rather recent change in siggie, I strongly believe that anywhere you can type these days should have spell check. :confused3 We're just so dependent on it these days. I'm sure that your next posting will be better. On the bright side, smilies are working just fine! :teeth:

You may want to list some small items if you can to get some feedback, but I would think a link to your website would be just fine.

Good luck! :wizard:

Carrie,

Actually my smilies are NOT working properly. Our computer guru decided to upgrade my computer, I can use the smilies on the right of the page but when I click on More, which has some of the very interesting ones that I have come to enjoy using, my computer crashes!!!! :guilty: So I have had to settle for the most familiar smilies and my heart's just not into it. My creative juices have been drained along with my bank account, what with having to pay all these guys to keep my operation running! Wah!! :confused3

Oh I know what you're thinking, the smilie playing the violin!

Tom - That is no good at all. There is a reason I do not have my own business! Let me smash a few for you. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

I won't even tease you by using too many extras.

Here's one you may need, though. :sad2: Just type a colon then sad2 then another colon. No spaces.

Let me know if there's one you really miss. I'll look it up for you! :charac2: BTW - That's charach2 inside colons.

You've just given me a great idea! If my computer will avoid crashing for 3 seconds, I could take a really quick picture of the More smilies on a pdf and then use the computer characters to type them in! Yippeeeeeeee! Life may be good again. Thanks Carrie, you've helped me again!!! :love2:

I wanted to post them for you last night, but am not talented enough. Let me know if you'd like me to e-mail you a pdf. Anything to add a glimmer of light in your world right now.
