Anyone seen the trailer for this?

I think it looks amazing , can't wait to go and see it! It looks a bit like The Notebook which is one of my favourite films. And of course, Eric Bana is in it which doesn't hurt :thumbsup2!

Methinks a girly night at the flicks and lots of popcorn:: is in order!

I won't be watching as I hated the book. I thought it was plain weird:rotfl: I can see that the film will be a box-office hit though because most of my friends loved the book.

This was one of my fave books ever!!! :goodvibes :worship::thumbsup2 However, I won't be keen to see as I find the books I love rarely live up to expectations on the big screen...

I do fancy seeing the film but I just could not get into the book. I have tried to read it several times and really struggled :confused3

another fan of the book, althought bits were heavy going! the film looks a lot more romantic so i will be watching at some point.

Lol - looks like a good job I didn't read the book! If I hadn't enjoyed it, I probably wouldn't have wanted to see the film and if I had enjoyed it I would be worried the film wouldn't live up to the book :goodvibes. I have had that experience before - The Other Boleyn Girl is one of my favourite books but I HATED the film, it was completely different from the book. I am also not keen on the look of the new ITV adaptation of Wuthering Heights, the actor playing Heathcliffe looks nothing like the Heathcliffe I imagine when I read the book . Also, they have changed the end completely. How can you change the end of one of the classics :confused3 ? But there are films that have been just as good as the books too so fingers crossed for this one.

I thought the book was not very well written and confusing, parts were just silly with dull main characters with no personanlity. The story was good though so I think it will make a better film than book. Hopefully they can bring the story to life more.

I agree Karen.

We saw the trailer when we were at the cinema last night. Looks good but I think I will stick with the book for now.

I thought atonement & the hours were good adaptions, I love both those books too, books were still better though.
