for me to start looking at wedding dresses and brides maids dresses..im not panicing yet but i know time is running out...
has any of you used ebay to buy any type of this dress..

Sorry, I haven't got any advice as I hired my wedding dress & bridesmaid dress (I couldn't justify spending hundreds of pounds on a dress for one day - LOL)

Have fun wedding dress shopping, and let us know when you find one :)

i went to a few bridal shops, i loved my dress at the time but it looks really dated now :rotfl2:

good luck x x

I wouldn't buy a dress without trying it on first, when I got married I went to the bridal shop knowing what dress I wanted but when I tried it on it did not suit me at all, I ended up with a dress I loved but wouldn't have looked twice at in a magazine. If you want to buy off the net I would try some on in a shop first and then try and get the same one from EBAY or somewhere.

I know a couple of people who have found the dress they saw in the shops reduced on ebay for sale and got a bargain!:)

My next door neighbour's daughter got her wedding dress and all the bridesmaids one through ebay in Hong Kong. Were amazingly lovely and cheap.

I got my wedding dress out of loot including the headress, shoes and even tights. The lady selling had cancelled her wedding and everything fitted me perfectly (long before ebay we used to use this paper to buy and sell things)

Good luck

My friend got her dress made in China through eBay and was very pleased with it.

Lots of people on the Wedding part of the DIS (mainly Americans) have bought dresses off eBay.

I didn't want to risk it so I've ordered my from a shop.

My Sister bought her dress of a lady in the US who trades on ebay. She tried out the dress in a shop here then ordered it from the US for a fraction of the cost. Mind you the dollar was stronger then too :)

Import tax can also put the price up if you get it from abroad.

I agree with Jen, I wanted to try my dress on before buying it. In the end I went for something very un-traditional, so if I wanted to, I could wear it again.
