The time diference between Counter service and Table service

I had a quick question. I am trying to plan our meals for our trip to WDW in Sept. The day we arrive we should be in the parks around 2pm. We are staying at BCV and plan on touring Epcot that same afternoon/evening. I heard that FW is less crowded at that time of day so we would like to stay around there. My question is about how long is the turn around time for counter service restaurants as compared to table service?

Another question is anyone have any recommendations where to eat near FW? I see there is only one full service restaurant (Coral Reef) in FW, but the nearby countries may also be good possibilities (Mexico, Norway, Canada). We will be travelling with our children, 4yo and 2yo, so I would rather not be trapsing all over the "world".

The big question I guess is should we just do counter service or full service.

Hi Rockclimber, welcome to the DIS Boards!!

In addition to Coral Reef, Garden Grill is another table service restaurant in FW. Garden Grill is also a character meal, and in my opinion one of the more relaxed ones with great character interaction. This might be something to consider with little ones.

As far as counter service vs. table service, you are going at a less-crowded time of year, so I doubt that you will encounter long waits at either counter service or table service restaurants.

I think that Garden Grill is a perfect choice for you as your kids will get to see Mickey Mouse right away. Count on a hour to a hour and a half for a character meal. This one is served family style and might be easier for the little ones. Kid friendly foods are included.
