Cast -
Me (40) and DD (7) - our 4th trip to DLRP since February 07.
Last day
We were well organised this morning, and had packed up, had breakfast, checked out, and were on the bus to the Parks by 8.05
.
First ride today was Dumbo, then we did Peter Pan 3 times in a row - the CM at the ride just rolled his eyes at us when we kept turning up lol. Then we did Buzz, then shopped on Main St for our last pressies to ourselves
. From the bandstand we took the horse-drawn tram back up to the hub, then did Buzz twice more (I got a score of 145000 due to our cars being stopped for ages right next to an easy target
).
Today we just seemed to be in the right place at the right time for characters - after our Buzz marathon we nipped to the toilets at the turrets in Fantasyland, and saw that the characters had just come out - Timon, Jafar, Chip and Dale, Gepetto, Goofy, Pluto. Off DD went to Timon, and then she hid
while I got a pic of Jafar. From there, we walked into Frontierland - Chip and Dale were there as well (those secret tunnels in DLRP must have been well-trod that day
).
DD totally surprised me in Frontierland by asking if she could go on BTM
(she's a complete wuss usually when it comes to any kind of real rollercoaster). So we went to fastpass machine - unfortunately, there was a technical fault with the ride at that point. So I said we'd try again later in the day, and we went onto the riverboat instead.
Then we walked into Adventureland - and there were characters all over the shop! Chip and Dale (again) Baloo, Rafiki, King Louie, the other monkeys from Jungle Book, Genie, Captain Hook, Mr Smee, and Peter Pan. DD is completely terrified of Captain Hook, so she wouldn't go anywhere near the last 3, but she ran off to Genie for a photo and autograph.
By the time she'd spent some time with Genie, Cpt Hook, Mr Smee, and Peter Pan had moved to the bridge near the pirate beach, and had been joined by Wendy. There was a bit of a scrum around Peter and Wendy (the only one, I have to say, I saw all the time we were there this time) - it was a bit mad, but worth it for this -

I overheard a woman say she'd just seen Captain Jack Sparrow heading off through the crowd - darn it!! Missed him (he would have been worth a few ticks all by himself
). By now it was nearly noon, so we walked from Adventureland down to the top of Main St to see the Character Express go by, and sing along of course (wooo-wooo!!). Off to IASW for the first time that day, then at 1pm we were at the Cowboy Cookout for lunch (having got fastpass for BTM on the way).
We walked into the Tarzan theatre at 1.25, and the show started 5 minutes later. First tick of the day - and wow what a tick! This is a fabulous acrobatic show
. Great audience involvement too. Out of there, and over to BTM, as we were just within our FP time. It was out of action again - boo
!!! Just think how many ticks I could have listed for BTM - that wasn't even a nugget of an inkling of a possibility before we came!
Back to Fantasyland for us then, and onto IASW, then the Storyboats then Casey Jnr. It was about 3.25 now, and on our way to the Bella Notte for a cool drink, we saw loads more characters between IASW and the teacups. Genie, Goofy, Eeyore, Gepetto, Mr Smee, Captain Hook (DD ran away and hid behind a bench when she saw him
), Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and the Sheriff of Nottingham (who was determined to swipe DD's bag) -

More autographs and photos later, it was time to get a slushy each from a stand outside the Bella Notte, and stake out our place for the Parade. The sun was shining now, it was a beautiful afternoon, and our slushies certainly hit the right spot
. We moved further up towards IASW for the Parade today, and it seemed to be very busy there, quite a bit of jostling for position. But we both enjoyed the whole thing again.
We just had time after that to ride IASW once more (and make it 6 times in 3 days, a record for us). I am now officially IASW-tired!
Our last wander through the castle, down Main St, and then we had to say bye bye DLRP, for this trip.
We ticked loads of boxes, and the only things on our list we didn't manage was to spot Captain Jack Sparrow, and get the Tous en Train music. Not a bad tally really eh? And an excuse to go again (not that I have another ticker or anything
)
