The thread full of complaints

My kids never sleep past 6:30 am :furious:

Not on weekends, holidays or the whole entire summer :furious:

My SIL just called to tell me that my 21 year old nephew just walked out of the Teen challenge facility that he went to last week. It was my brother and SIL's ultimatum to him after they found out he had lost yet another job, was taking drugs and had been cashing bad checks. My heart just breaks for him because he really has so many great qualities. His parents don't want to take him back (I don't blame them), I can't take him in so he is calling his parents saying he has no money, no place to go. He doesn't even have a car because he wore 2 of them out. It just breaks my heart that he does not take responsibilty for his actions, and never seems to learn.

My left wrist hurts really really bad, but only in one small area. its about half an inch below my hand and directly below my thumb.

the same pain woke me up last night, but it was my right wrist and it was the same spot, but under my pinky finger.

its gonna drive me insane. any one have any idea what this could be?

Sounds maybe like carpal tunnel.

Just to throw in my 2 cents worth (or maybe more like a dollar's worth), this year has been horrible. We had to have our beloved dog put to sleep because of cancer. We spent alot of money on her surgery in Nov and vet care and we had to cancel our Disney trip for this summer. But, we did not mind spending the money on Snowy at all. Everyone agreed that she was more important. My father had a major health crisis, emergency surgery, and is now in a nursing home unable to even do activities of daily living for himself. I have been running around getting his financial affairs into some sort of order and my brother takes so long to do what I ask him to do. On the plus side, we are taking a short trip to Toronto since we so need some time away as a family. The trip is not really in the budget but I won't tell anyone on the budget board. The kids are doing well in school (knock wood!) and my father is still with us even though he is not able to do for himself. I will not ask what is in store for the rest of the year!

I can COMPLETELY sympathize with you Jaycns!! My DH is doing the same thng - busting his hump for the family and making money, more than we have ever had before. Its just sucks when its left up to us to carry on like nothing is out of whack. I sometimes think I am selfish for wanting him home, and I am sick of being the strong one - carrying on like nothing is wrong, Damn him/them for leaving the weight of the world on our shoulders! At least its not just me in this situation - it could be far worse, but it could be far easier too!

:grouphug: ~*~ HUGS ~*~ to everyone having a Rough Day out there is DisBoards Land! Tomorrow is a new day! And hopefully the sun will be shining! :sunny: :thumbsup2

I have three little princes too! My eldest is 9. Next is 6 years old. Then 5 years old. I love being the mom of three awesome little boys! Congrats! You are in for a lifetime full of fun!!

Yep...the weight of the world/household falls squarely on the shoulders at times like these... It's not that I am don't understand the reasons or even that he didn't include me in his thinking about his career...it's just this usually happens for the last three months of the year and this year, it's going to be the entire second half of the year (minus our 2 and 1/2 week vacation).

I sure am glad somebody understands! :grouphug:

It's a great life I have. I know that. I am spoiled compared to most people (but I admit it;)) I just don't like feeling like a single parent when I am not one...and times like these make me oh so respectful of all of those who truly are!! Or whose spouse is in the military or some other line of work that takes them away for months at a time.

I really need a mom's night out!! I think that would make things better. I could use some time to go to the local pottery studio. I really enjoy sitting there and zoning everything else out and just painting until I feel like getting up and going next door and grabbing some sort of cold foamy drink and some sort of fried snack and then heading back to the studio and finishing up. It's a great night...with (or even without) other mom's to share it.

Okay, I think I just talked myself into it!! :rotfl: It's time to book a babysitter!! ;)

Thanks again for understanding!

A teeny tiny problem compared to many posted here, but...

My contacts are driving me NUTS and I don't have eye drops on me, or spare glasses to wear so I can take them out!

I want gouge my eyeballs out with a spoon!

I'm a teenager, but I do spend most of my day either writing or typing. sometimes the underside of my wrist hurts too. I always thought carpal tunnel's syndrom set on later in life?

Okay, here's my complaint:

I have a cold and yesterday when I went to buy Sudafed, the only medicine that doesn't make my heart race, I had to bring a little card up to the counter. The clerk looked me over, then had to get a manager, who had to go into a locked office and search for the correct box of Sudafed. Meanwhile, there are all these people in line glaring like they do when you try to write a check. The clerk came back with the medicine and said, "At least we don't have to write down your name and address anymore." What? It's Sudafed! You would think I had ordered a box of crack.

My problems are small compared to most. But still I complain! Co-workers, is it that hard to do your job in a timely manner? Also communicate that you have ended carrying a product, I didnt have time in college to take that mind reading class! If you are showing sales on an item for the last 4 weeks, I am going to order you more unless you tell me not to! I feel better now!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh! ..... a box of crack _ that is great! :rotfl:

here's my complaint....Nothing major compared to others, but here goes ~

I had to take DD's to their dress rehearsal on Saturday. I help out backstage and the dressing rooms were a like steam chamber. Sunday was their dance recital so remembering how steamy the dressing rooms were, I brought my fan along to help cool it down a little. Stupid me forgets to bring the fan home when the show ends and when DH went there today to get the fan, nobody has seen it anywhere. Spoke with the dance studio director and nobody from her staff brought it back to the studio with them. So somebody stole my fan :furious: and it is a great fan that I use everyday in my room! :furious: Now I have to go out and buy another one :guilty:

OK...here's the deal. We have a precious 10 week toy fox terrier puppy, Lucy, who I am TRYING patiently to housebreak. I get her out of her pen this morning and stupid me, brings to our bed and what is the first thing she does...again, my fault...piddles in the bed. So off to the washer and dryer I go. The upside is we will have nice fresh sheets on the bed tonight. I assume that one day soon, our precious little bundle will be piddling and pooing in the correct spot.

I had to laugh at the story about the fox terrier puppy. They are so cute and alot of work but worth it! You do get a nice clean comfy bed for sleeping tonight. Good luck with the housebreaking!

Nope. Anyone who does a repetitive motion can get it. You heard about it in older people first becuase they used computers and typewriters a lot more than the younger people.

I recommend this wrist rest and one for your mouse as well.
