So after our late night in Paris last night we decided to have a lie in and a late breakfast. Our legs were also tired so for the first time we decide to get the bus to the park. After posing for a piccie beside The Cheyenne sign
We hit the park just after 10am and for the first time got to walk under the Disneyland Hotel
and under the station
We walked down Main street and when we got to the Castle we saw that the scaffolding had started going up for its refurb
Onto Frontierland
The smoke was working on the teepees
Our plan for today was to ride BTM as many times as was humanly possible.
We would get a FP each time as just keep going till the end of the day.We were so excited.Just as we got to the entrance we saw BTM closed it was still having technical problems.Oh no our faces dropped. How could this happen to us with our favourite ride.We just hoped that at some stage it would reopen today and we would be able to get at least one ride on it.
As we were already in Frontierland we decided to check out Mickeys Winter Wonderland show in the Chapperal Theatre. It had been 4 years since we last saw the show.I hoped it might cheer the boys up but it didn't.
After the show we were planning to head in Adventureland BUT WHAT WAS THAT???? People heading up the main queuing area for BTM.We couldn't believe our luck.We ran off to join them YEHAW.The board said waiting time 5 mins.....not very often you see that on BTM.That was the last time that day we would queue in the main queue. Finally we got to board our train and with big smiles on our faces we started our first ride of the day.How delighted we were. After the ride we picked up FP for 30 mins later and headed off into Adventureland
Next ride Indiana Jones. The torches here were alight
I got a great piccie of the boys just heading off on their ride
We did the baby switch so I could enjoy the ride too and Mac could get his second ride.
For the rest of the afternoon we alternated between BTM, POTC, PM and IJ
The total ride count by the end of the day was
Big Thunder Mountain 8
Pirates of the Carribbean 5
Phantom Manor 3
Indiana Jones 3 for each Rod and me....Mac 6
Inbetween the ride marathon we stopped for a quick snack in Last Chance Cafe.review here
Nearing the end of the afternoon we headed over to the Castle to go and see the dragon underneath
We also went upstairs to find the sleeping knight
and took a few shots of Fantasyland
We then made our way to Discoveryland
to have a go on Buzz and Star Tours
We also managed to find Jacob .....a Stitch collector.....a cool Yoda Stitch to add to the ever growing collection. He was very happy with him
It was then time to leave the park and head to Cafe Mickey for my birthday dinner.Originally I had planned to eat in Beaver Creek in Sequoia Lodge but when we were there on Monday night it was closed and only Hunters Grill was open. The boys were not too keen on any character interaction in the parks....they both think they are too big for this now and get embarassedand they can't be bothered with the pushing in from other people. So I thought Cafe Mickey would be an ideal venue for meeting some characters and I wanted to meet Mickey. As usual it was a great meal although very expensive review here
I got to meet Mickey and Goofy
and the boys enjoyed meeting Mickey and Tigger and many more characters without any embarassment or pushing you get in the parks
After dinner we took a leisurely stroll back to The Cheyenne, had a drink in the Red Garter before heading back to our room to make a start on the packing.OH NO tomorrow would be our last day
Only 1 day left before my Trip report is complete.I am not sure whether I want to finish it yet as it will all be over then and once again I will be left with a yearning to return.
