The Teen Board Drama Club :)

My school just finished doing their production of Hairspray.

I wanted to be in it,but I kind of flunked my audition, but it was good because no one I knew made it in,except this 9th grader who's an amazing actor, but he was just a background character. Then,I found out my friends were on the crews, great. Next time,I'll try out, then join a crew.

My dream roles are Nala in The Lion King, Ariel, or Dana in camp rock. Last year, I was actually going to try out for Belle in Beauty and the Beast but chickened out and ended up being Cogsworth.:confused3 And this year Im the lead role in Seussical (Horton the Elephant) I keep getting boy's roles. :sad2:

my dreams roles: Satine in moulin rouge, and anastasia in anastasia
if we're talking non-stage roles, then anastasia and rapunzel are my two tops!!!

and disney wise: i'd looove to be ariel in the voyage of the little mermaid or nemo or dory in finding nemo the musical!

I was in a drama class last semester and had a lot of fun with that and am planning on trying out for the fall musical. I'm really excited for that since I'm pretty good at acting(got one of the highest scores in my class). My biggest fall back will be my vocals so I'll probably only make chorus or a role that doesn't have alot of singing... Also I used to dance alot like 6 days a week, but I've had a string of injuries since about May last year and haven't been in a show since June 2010. I broke my back torwards the end of May when I did a switch ring leap and went back to far. Then doing a chest stand I hurt it even more but roughed it through till the end of June. Soon after when my back was trying to heal I decided to go on a back packing trip and slipped in the middle of a river and fell on a huge rock and broke my tibia. I was out for a month in a half with that injury and it pretty much finished up the rest of my summer season which is cruicial to training new skills and such. I went back in the start of September and well doing a oversplit within a month back I tore the tendon in my hip, and had to take even more time off. Once that started slowly getting better we found out my knee never really healed and so we started physical theraphy and that's been a really long slow process. In this whole process we have decided to leave my old studio and switch to a nationally ranked one(They were one America's Got Talent last season) which is closer to us than my old studio. I'm planning on beggining there within a week or so since they still have open registration and want to compete for them come next year but I still have a very long road to over come. I'm lost alot of my flexibility, my chest stand, my back hand spring and alot of things so now it's time for me to buckle down and get back into shape.

Mine would have to be:
-Nancy in Oliver! (The Artful Dodger was fun but I wanna try a female role haha!)
-Snoopy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
-Peter Pan in Peter Pan

We did Peter Pan a couple years back and it was pretty amazing, Peter Pan actually flew in our production and so did all of the children. I must say we have some pretty amazing productions at our school.

I am such a theatre geek! My life pretty much revolves around theatre, Glee, Lost, Harry Potter, Disney, reading and writing. And...that's about it. =P

I've been involved involved in theatre since I was 11. Right now, I'm one of three Aida's in a performance of "Aida" (:sad2: Feel free to PM me about this - I can explain the craziness of my high school drama program all day!) with my high school. My past credits include:

"The Jungle Book" - Wolf Cub #3 (Missoula)
"The Frog Prince" - Flamingo #1 (Missoula)
"The Sound of Music" - Brigitta
"Relativity" - Michelle (an original play)
"The Christmas Carol" - Fan (Scrooge's apparently 'oft ignored big sister) and chrous
"Mulan" - Ancestor Laozi (double cast, high school)
"The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" - Wednesday (Missoula)
"Dulce Domum" - Chorus Captain (Basically a narrator show with a song from a chapter of "The Wind in the Willows")
"Seussical the Musical" - Mayzie (one of two, done with my school)
"Our Big Redneck Follies" - Soloist (A charity production put up annually by our local Lion's Follies).
"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" - Alice (again, double cast and not with the high school. I don't want to rant and rave about this one, but how do I keep getting involved in double casted productions!?)
"The King and I" - Lady Thiang (triple cast, high school)
"Anne of Green Gables" - Anne (one of two, this time not with the highschool. I can talk about this for a few hours, too. :rotfl:)

My dream role would be Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors" - I am SO JEALOUS of all you who are doing that show!!! I would also love to be Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth".

oh mi gosh, you are the only other person i've met that's been in mulan and/or the musical, alan menkin version of chirstmas carol. I was the Ansestor Yun along with mushu understudy. written in stone is one of my favorite unrecognized songs from a musical!

I've been in a bunch of small plays based off fairy tales (a fortune teller in Aladdin, a ball guest in a non-Disney, non Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella, a Merry Man in Robin Hood, a crowd member in the Pied Piper and Rumplestiltskin, the witch in Hansel and Gretel, the witch in Snow White, and the evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty), a ball guest in Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, and a ensemble member in Annie and My Fair Lady. I've also sung for years <333 My favorite role was easily Sleeping Beauty, that was SO much fun!

so question, what are YOUR dream roles?

mine are Eponine in Les Miserables, Ariel in THe Little Mermaid and Peter Pan!

Mine are Lucy Harris in Jekyll and Hyde, Ursula in the Little Mermaid, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Fiona in Shrek the Musical, the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, Lucy in Avenue Q, the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical. But the biggest one, the one that I would sell my soul for just for one day in, is ELPHABA IN WICKED!!!! I swear, I loved her just listening to the soundtrack since I thought she had all the best songs (especially No Good Deed), but when I actually got to see the show for the first time, it was like "THIS IS MY LIFE," especially in Act 1. That's how much I identify with her. I want to be her so bad!

I am insanely jealous of you guys and all the shows you do! We only do one each year, and it's the drama classes that get auditioned and given roles first, then the rest of us.

But i'm more of a dancer than an actor and that's outside of school, so i'm mostly in the chorus for those productions. We're rehearsing for our showcase right now which looks amazing (so far) :goodvibes

I really want to be The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mama Bear in Shrek the Musical (because of her epic solo in "Freak Flag"), Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Pippi Longstocking, Irene Adler in a Sherlock Holmes play, and Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors.

The play I'm doing is called The Rockin' Tale of Snow White. I go to Catholic school so we can't afford the cpoyrighted Snow White. My school gets the script books ect. from a website called pioneerdrama.com. Anyway, this year I am one of the seven dwarves :) Also, i have to sing 6 times :/

Pioneer Drama? That's where we get our script.

I was going to try out for Mayzie, but decided to go for Horton insted. I'm friends with the girl who got Mayzie's part, and she has jazzy voice that is pretty well suited to the character.

I kind of wanna be Audrey or Ronnette from LSoH, Eponine from Les Miserables, and any other roles I've mentioned. And I really wanna be the mom in Next to Normal. I also really want to do a stage production of Newsies. It's so epic, and so many amazing songs are in it.

I've been in shows here and there since 4th grade, but I really started performing in 8th grade. I'm currently working on a show for the advanced theatre class I'm in called Funny as a Crutch (a satirical piece on how society views people with disabilities). The other shows I've been in so far have been:

-Peter Pan (Mrs Darling/Braves Ensemble)
-The Good Person of Sichuan (Citizen Ensemble)
-The Sound of Music (Nun Ensemble)
-The Government Inspector (Constable)
-Annie (Apple Seller, Nun, Hooverville/NYC Ensemble)
-Macbeth (Ross)
-Life With Mother Superior (Mother Superior)
-The Pajama Game (Rita, Dance Ensemble)

Favorite roles by far so far were Ross and Mother Superior...first times I had truly large roles and they were the most fun to play.

Well I've been doing theater since I was three years old or so and at the moment I have 27 shows on my resume. I've done The Wizard of Oz 3 times and The Sound of Music twice though. Unfortunetley in the small village where I live the theater program is non existant since the lady who used to run it retired. The last play we had here was The Wizard of Oz and the guy who directed it basically gave the part of Dorothy to a girl who "needed it for a grade for school so they could get into an awesome college!" which was completely not cool. I'm not much of a singer so that's a fallback, Ive been thinking about voice lessons but Im not sure.

so question, what are YOUR dream roles?

mine are Eponine in Les Miserables, Ariel in THe Little Mermaid and Peter Pan!

Eponine seems to be really popular! I would love to be her as well, Les Miserables is such an amazing show! I would also absolutely love love LOVE to be Mrs.Lovett from Sweeney Todd and The Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz.

another part i would love to play is Roxie Hart in chicago!

just got a call this morning for a project needing actors. it's a satire written by a local author about the history of our little town and they were in need a younger girl actress. i go tomorrow night at five to find out specifics on the part, i have no clue if i'm going to be speaking of just stage filler. i also have an audition this tuesday for Oklahoma! the actual auditions and callbacks are this thurs-fri-sat... but i leave for disney this wednesday!!!! so my sister, my friend Jacob, and I are all auditioning this tuesday. jacob had conflicts as well, so it's just going to be the three of us. it will either go horribly bad or really well based on the different format. it feels sooooo good to be back into the theatre!! i went through a lull where auditions were far and few between and the stupid school won't cast me! but thats a rant for a different day!!!!
