The Tale of the Grow Walk ….Hunh?

More great pics, Jen.

Dumbo...Mark's favorite (he would like Claire's selection).

I like the pictures of Claire with the gargoyle...especially the one where she is sticking out her tongue. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Our beeper went off and soon we were being led to our table.

We got this reservation just about a month or so before our trip. They had opened up more reservations and I snatched one up. We already had one for the next day, but I was up for eating here twice!

Once we placed our orders, I went for a walk to take pictures.

A shot of one of the dessert trollies.

We had some yummy rolls.

I got the potato leek soup, which I enjoyed.

When we had walked in, we saw these light up goblets, so I let Claire get one. It had a choice of a few drinks…well really you could get anything in it, but we got the All Natural Fruit Punch, which was really yummy.

I knew it was probably expensive, but heck…this is my princess….and it was….to the tune of $18.99.

The table next to us was a family with several kids. We watched in awe as each kid ordered BIG appetizers. The things they ordered were clearly meant to be shared, but the parents let them each order one of their own. I know at least 3 of them got the Assorted Cured Meats and Sausages board and it says it serves 2, but could serve 3 or 4 as an appetizer. Needless to say they only nibbled at it and then the rest was wasted. But the parents were all about them trying new things…as we heard them say this over and over….and I am not opposed to that…but maybe have them try new things …and SHARE? LOL!

We heard the announcement that Beast was coming back out, so we went to the ballroom to see him.

He went to each room and did a wave and then headed back to his meeting spot.

Our food then came out.

Mom (and I think Dad did too) got the Grilled Strip Steak and I think she substituted the Pommes Frites with au gratin macaroni.

Claire got the Grilled Steak. She loves steak and this was very good. Much better than the time before we came when it was in preview season.

I went with the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops - Seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce. I thought it was pretty good, but maybe needed a little more sauce for the pastry to soak up.

Now Be Our Guest food is good, but there is one REAL reason to come here……Dessert!

Claire got the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. MMMM! This is so good!

I decided I wanted to try The "Grey Stuff".

I thought it was really good. It has a cookies and cream flavor. I did think the tart thing it was on was just OK. I have seen this in a form of a cupcake in others reports and I think that looks even better.

Soon we were stuffed to the gills and we paid our bill and Claire and I went and got in line to see the Beast. My parents were going to be heading out and back the Marriott.

The CM at the doorway to the Beast room kept asking us over and over if we were sure we were done as we couldn’t come back in once we met the Beast. Yes we are done….are you sure you don’t need to use the restroom….you can’t come back to use it. I think we’ll live.

The line moved fairly fast and it soon was our turn to see the Beast.

And then we were directed out to the hallway and guess what….we walked right over to the bathroom and no one stopped us. We are all wild like that at times.

Of course I had to get a picture of the Prince with no pants on. Claire found that hilarious.

It was dark now when we got outside.

Dinner looked amazing. Is the Rose Gallery now also open for dinner? I think the Grey Stuff Cupcake is only available for lunch.

Love the cool water shots on Dumbo!

Your castle shots are lovely. The black & white one is really cool!

Claire’s gargoyle face is too funny! At first I thought she was upset about not getting the stuffed Dumbo. Love her costume change!

Your BOG pics turned out great! I really have trouble in there. I think I need a lower ISO which means a new camera which probably isn't going to happen anytime soon. :rotfl2: Mine only goes to 1600.

Your meals look yummy. I had the puff pastry too. I liked it but thought the pastry was a little dry.

I made ADRs yesterday for the second half of my Feb trip and it found it open so I booked a dinner ADR. I figure, why not and Denny didn't say no.

Claire looks so awesome in her Merida dress! And may I add, I LOVE her gargoyle face. :thumbsup2

Dinner looks very nice and yes, the grey stuff used to come as a cupcake - had one in February. ;)

Finally all caught up :goodvibes

Really loving your photos, Jen! This one especially just blew me away...

:worship::worship::worship:

Still waiting on the cruise portion of this trippie :rolleyes2 :p :rotfl2: :lmao:

Good eye!

We love the dwarves. They're the only characters Momma will queue for :goodvibes

Beast castle and Be our guest restaurant. I am just in love. I need to go there for myself. :lovestruc
The light up goblet looks awesome
Prince with no pants I loled! Love Beast. I think he's like my second favourite character since doing the musical!

Dumbo is a great choice for plushie as well. Love Dumbo :thumbsup2

Corinna

It opens occassionally as extra space. I haven't seen it done so much lately but I know earlier this year they were doing it a lot.
I am not sure about the cupcake as everyone I have seen pictures of it always have it in cupcake form and I am the only one who has it in this tart pastry form. Maybe it was a trial while I was there?

Love the cool water shots on Dumbo!

I always love trying to get different shots there.

Your castle shots are lovely. The black & white one is really cool!

I do like that one...and funny thing is it was so over exposed that I turned it into B&W and it came out so much better that way.

Claire’s gargoyle face is too funny! At first I thought she was upset about not getting the stuffed Dumbo. Love her costume change!

Well she might have been and channeled that for her pose! :lmao:

It really is hard to get shots in there. My camera goes up to 3200 and it still isn't enough. I did use a different lens that lets in more light too and that helped a lot....and photoshop.

Your meals look yummy. I had the puff pastry too. I liked it but thought the pastry was a little dry.

Yes, it needed like a side of the sauce for the pastry. The inside was really good though.

I made ADRs yesterday for the second half of my Feb trip and it found it open so I booked a dinner ADR. I figure, why not and Denny didn't say no.

I really like the food there so far. I want to try more things though, but I really liked the steak and Claire loves the steak there.

Claire looks so awesome in her Merida dress! And may I add, I LOVE her gargoyle face. :thumbsup2

Dinner looks very nice and yes, the grey stuff used to come as a cupcake - had one in February. ;)

I am wondering if I was there for a trial for the grey stuff tart because I only see others post it as a cupcake too. I would prefer it as a cupcake I think.

Finally all caught up :goodvibes

That picture was so over exposed so I turned it b&w and it made it so much better. I was impressed with myself.

I know!! I am going way to slow on this TR. I have a lot of pictures edited...I just need to write up everything. I am now also working on my Villains weekend TR...and hope to whip that one out fast and work on getting more of this written up so I can get to the cruise part. I have a problem with taking way too many pictures. :confused3 :rotfl2:

We really do love BOG. My sister is going at the end of this month and surprising her girls. She booked late, so she couldn't get an ADR there, but she just emailed me today and said she got a lunch FP for it so I am so happy for them!
The Dumbo plushie is so cute...and we had a little mishap with him that caused a lot of panic!

I have made several ADR's for 50's over the years and each time I have canceled for one reason or another. One being that Claire is afraid they will harass her. I am just going to have to do it in the future and not tell her.
:rotfl2: do it.

Great updates and pics. That was a lot of parade pics.

Off to the new report. You need to stop going so often so I can catch up on all the reports. LOL

I was not able to get a BOG reservation for our trip, but we had a fastpass for lunch there and it was very good. I had the grey stuff cupcake (called the Master's cupcake, I think) and it was, in fact, delicious!

Lunch was shockingly expensive, about $75 for the 4 of us, but this was our fault. Two of us ordered soup in addition to our sandwiches and all of us ordered cupcakes. Both are things we normally wouldn't do at a regular quick service location.

We had lunch at Be Our Guest and really liked it especially the restaurant itself. I'm still on the fence about dinner there but I have to say that your meal looked delicious!

Jen, you are leading that child of your's down a trecherous path....going to the bathroom after meeting the Beast. Claire's probably going to turn out to be some rebel or something. :lmao:

One of these days we will do it. (50's) I would really like to do it when Skip is with us, but who knows when that will be. I need to figure out what he wants to do next year. My parents invited us again to go with them, but if I do, I will probably do offsite stuff as it would be the week before Easter most likely. Skip has mentioned DL several times, but lately nothing and then we had friends who talked of cruising all together, but not her son, who she planned to bring with his girlfriend and little girl are expecting another baby so they won't be coming for sure and I haven't heard anything else about it since then.

Oh...and I have another trip coming up later this month...but it's not Disney, but I will do a report on it, but the Villains one has to be completed before I even think about starting on that one. ;)

I LOVE the grey stuff...I was a little leery but so happy it was good!

I can imagine it was! It was an expensive dinner for the 2 of us too, but we just really enjoyed it so much! And a cupcake is a MUST!

You really should give dinner a try...so many things to try!
That Claire is going to be on Disney's bad list....going to the bathroom at times she is not allowed to. :rotfl2:

Our bellies were full and we headed off to do another ride.

Claire had an itch to go on Barnstormer.

But I think first we walked past it and perhaps watched the train take off first?

We then got in line.

It was busy, but the line moved fairly fast and soon we were ready to ride.

I love the costumes here.

I took a few pictures while riding, but they were awful, so I will spare you those….
We had a good time and I just wish it was a little longer of a ride.

After we got off we headed down the dark path towards Tomorrowland.

We got in line for Buzz….which was the longest I have ever seen this line before, with it winding outside on the side of the building, but luckily this is one that usually moves fairly fast.

Claire looks like she will be upset if she doesn’t win. LOL!!!

After we conquered Zurg we headed back out.

I think we went on Carrousel of Progress then….I know we went on it a few times as this is a new favorite of Claire’s. And I think this is when we had a bit of a quirk and had to repeat a room or 2.

I must not have taken any pictures in it though, which is the norm for me most times. I just sit back and relax in there usually.

And then on to another of Claire’s favorite…..Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

They had switched the preshow area to the Monsters U stuff we noticed.

We found a seat and watched the screen as it displayed people and laughed. I always sit us in a spot that I know has potential to be on screen and what do you know….I was flashed up there…for about 2 seconds and then they took me off. Maybe I was too scary?

The show was funny, but we will never be able to top the one we went to in 2012 where we laughed so hard it hurt. But Claire still enjoys it each and every time.

I believe we needed to make a potty break and went in search of one.

I think we may have gotten a drink in Cosmic Rays as well and just sat and relaxed for a few minutes.

And back out we went.

Claire always has to try and get that sword pulled out, but we have never had success yet.

She always swears it’s just about to come out though.

And then I attempted some artsy shots I had seen someone else post. His were much better and taken in the daytime, but I was here now, so I tried it in the dark…and I need to go back and do them in the daytime someday too.

I made this next one into a canvas print.

After that we moved on and saw Rapunzel’s tower all lit up.

Chances are we made another potty stop here too.

I really enjoyed the night pictures and I think the sword pictures turned out stunning.
