So, if the postage costs around $5.00, then we put $5.00 in an envelope?

Also, we could ohanafamily, RRBB, and the kids as one person?

This is going to be fun! :Pinkbounc Can I leave the office now and go shopping?

Oh, TB, I like the Discovery Island idea. My thoughts are that we could sneak over to the old River Country and have the place to ourselves. :teeth:

And for you folks who are getting the snow, we are due to get 6 to 10 inches over today and tomorrow. We always get hit in March. Happy spring.

Barb, I think $7 is better (the cost plus $2) Again, we will return the extra...and our clan should be treated as one person. I also couldn't resist the collar comment...Nephosaurus has already claimed any chocolate that may come our way in this swap...

I like the Discovery Island idea,

Oh, and Lewski709, a warehouseful of Oreo's to the UK is a little excessive as well..
:earseek:

:bounce:

I may be in the minority but I want a snow day for the kids at school tomorrow. Becauuuuuuuuuuuse one more snow day and the kids have to go to school an extra week, DS can go from school to camp without a break which would make him so happy. And a happy Sam is a well behaving Sam!

ohanafamily, I have a question. How are we gonna get the money for postage plus $2.00 in the box after it's shipped? Maybe I am not too bright this am, but usually I have to take my stuff to the post office (already packaged to go) to see how much it's gonna cost. Also, we are gonna need to add more than $2.00 (I think) to get the stuff to Danauk, don't ya think? Sometimes, I can be really blonde (if this question is just stupid otherwise, nevermind....I am brilliant).:teeth:
This is how I've handled the return postage issue in the past. I would package up everything but wait to seal the package until I got to the post office. I'd have them weigh the package, tell me how much it cost to send it, put in stamps for that amount (plus the extra stamps/$ asked for), then seal the package up and get it sent off.

:) I am doing the Oreo's for her on my own, not to be mistaken as part of the swap and will not be sent to you. God forbid, I can just imagine your kids getting into them and leaving nothing but crumbs. Please don't be angry Nephosaurus and Nieceosaurus, I understand how irresistable Oreo's can be. Children are innocent when engaging cookies!
s&ksmom I can totally relate. If my DS#1 could be someplace for an extra week and I was home, I would send him. :bounce: YAY! But my lil monkey, right now I'd love to be with him more. In fact, when Tye was born.....I sent the other one, even though I was home, to daycare daily. I figure DS#1 got me all to himself, so should DS#2...not to mention DS#1 was 4 and needed activity not mom. :teeth: I know, report me to the parenting police.

Lewski709 I got one of those Playschool Air Ball Popper machines for my nephew(13 months) and he absolutely has gone bonkers over the thing! And yes, I know, those little balls fly everywhere but he loves it and now I am the COOL aunt with the COOL toys, at least in his parents' minds. :teeth:

Thanks for suggesting it!!!! :bounce:
Told ya, told ya, I told ya so. :hyper:
Glad he likes it!!!

OK, it looks like the following people are interested in the swap...

My family and I will share one spot if that is OK, it isn't as though this is a Chocolate Swap...

Here is what I propose:
4/1/04, we finalize the list (2 weeks +/- from now)
Package to include: (1 for each person in swap)
1 Post Card of where you live
1 Something small that represents your area...
(something that can be shipped internationally to DanaUK...
No Meat, Produce, Plants, live or dead animals.)
Optional- Something that is personally special to you...
(not expensive, but personal)
Return postage - the amount of postage you spent (plus $2.00) anything extra will be returned.
A return Label with your address on it.

Everyone should spend a suggested maximum of $3 on each of their fellow Swappers.

The package will be due in my mailbox by 4/15- I will PM you all with the address)

We will ship out on or about 4-22 (no later than 4/29) This will allow us time if any get delayed...

As an example of what each set should include, Let me see what Nieceosaurus would include; a postcard (with a picture of Blue-bonnets our state flower), and a package of Texas Chili Fixin's. She might optionally choose to send a paper Tiara (a replica of the one she wears while watching Cinderella)

If this works out well, next time we might do a Chocolate Swap.....

:bounce:

Add my name to that list!!!

wooooooooooo hooooooooooooo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I am so glad everyone has taken to the idea of the TAGLIARCHY swap. See, I do have SOME good thoughts. Proof here, yah.....there's proof!!!!! ::yes::

Of course, it needed some fine tuning.

Repetitive, much?

Okay, I went over to yada, yada, yada forum on syracuse.com and asked if anyone had any ideas how I could package 15 local snowballs for an internet exchange! :teeth: :p ;)

Okay, you guys don't like that? How about a bag of salt from the "Salt City". Heck, I could just go to the sides of the roads and scoop some up.

Man, it's slow in this office today. :faint: Entertain me people. Quickly now. Quickly!

Wow, I'm shocked and surprised HuggaBaloo RickinNYCand Bichon Barb didn't comment......or should I be impressed?

:wave2: Good morning everyone. I'm sorry to hear so many of you are still getting snow. You should come down here where it's another beautiful day with slight wind and partly cloudy skies.

llebrekniT all the locations sound nice but I'm really torn between option 1 and 3. (I just can't deal with any animals that might have been left behind on Discovery island.) Oh heck, I'll go for option 3 - the island in the middle of seven seas lagoon. Watching the fireworks over the castle from there will remind me of the night ohanafamily proposed to me - one of the most magical nights of my life.

Thanks for sticking up for me ladies. ohanafamily isn't into sports so he's not familiar with the way things get shaken up during March Madness. As for my choices, of course I chose MY wildcats to go all the way. The others were based on nothing at all, just pure guesses. I don't even know what colors they wear. :teeth:

Just changed June trip from POFQ to Coronado Springs......neighbor's kids got DS9 all pumped up over the really long and cool jaguar waterslide at CSR.....just hope I didn't make a big mistake.....it was still available for the same low price using the new code so I'll take that as a sign........I'm very superstitious you know.......

Hey, that could be a great QOTD.......

What are you superstitious about?

Mine is that the members of my family all believe if you say "Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit" on the first day of every month, you will have good luck. It must be the very first thing you say in the morning or it doesn't count. If you forget it, you have another chance....you have to say "Tibbar, Tibbar" (rabbit, rabbit backwards) first thing on the 2nd day of the month. Yes, I know this might sound strange, but if I've forgotten to say it and had a lousy month. :p

Must... not... make... off... color... comment... Head... is... going... to... explode...

Ohhhh superstitions (OK I spelt that wrong!?) I believe in signs. Like if I'm reading my One Day at a Time Book and the page of the day suits exactly what I need to hear. Or I was looking for a sign whether I should change jobs or not and got 2.

Superstitious. Nah. I'm a Taurus. (snort snort) I'm too practical.

I mean, I wouldn't go purposely walking under a ladder or anything like that. I don't like to paint the devil on wall. And I do laugh uneasily whenever a black cat walks crosses my path, but I'd have no problem flying on Friday the 13th. Oh, I do often knock on wood. I said something to the kids the other day like "God forbid we got in a car accident...", and Eric made me knock on wood after I said it. :teeth:
